That is the best way I could put it, but I installed my intake spacer last night, by the way...it works, well...but my question is the inside of my intake, how in the heck do I clean it up, and better yet why is it all there?

You can get a can of spray stuff from Ford that cleans it up. Just start the engine, then squirt the stuff in the motor's pie hole, and it's all fixed. :)

As always, you have the best way with words, by Pie Hole...you mean the throttle body...I figured as much, but where is the crud coming from.

PCV, the motor sucks up the blow by, not a problem :D

Its okay to spray the throttle body cleaner into the intake? I noticed my intake was filthy the last time i cleaned my T/B but was afraid to spray inside the intake.

If you are talking about a "golden brown" tint, then it's normal. There's no need for cleaning as it doesn't affect operation and will just re-appear shortly anyway.

If you've got sludge build-up, then that's a different story...

Sludge build up is what it looks like..on the passender side of the intake.

It will be more evident on the passenger side as that's where the PCV vacuum comes from. If it's just a light film, then it's not a problem, but if you've got it so thick that you can scrape it off with your fingernail, I'd call that excessive blow-by. How many miles on your car?

When you install the Trilogy in you will not have to worry about BS cleaning. My intake is setting in the parts bin.

normal carbon build up, you should have seen this 96 cavilier couldnt even tell thier was metal under it, holy cow

Mine has a little buildup at the EGR ports but the PCV area is clean. But I do have an oil trap on the PCV line, so I suppose it's working.

I had to re-arange the PCV lines on our SVT because it was literally sucking up so much oil the car would stink and blow smoke. Even with a new valve. The MM hasn't done this yet.

You can blast carb cleaner on it but it'll just sink to the lowest point of the runner and gunk up there. The correct way is to remove the intake and blast it all out with cleaner and compressed air.
