YES!

I asked a little while back if the engine could be pulled with the tranny and headers installed, the answer was NO. Then I inquired about leaving the passenger's side header attached and never got an answer. Here it is:

Other side, had to remove EVERYTHING in order to get the header off. The dipstick tube had to be pulled to get the header off, but the motor mount had to be pulled to get the dipstick tube out, and I couldn't get the motor mount bolts loose without better access. Somebody (guess who?) put the bolts in so tight the last engine swap that it took a cheater bar to break them loose!

Decoupled the engine and tranny, learned that the problem is in the engine as it's still locked up. Also found another minor issue, the tranny lines have a bracket which is bolted to the side of the block:

But the Teksid block doesn't have it:

That trans line bracket is a nothing. I am sure you'll work that one out. Thanks for the pics and info. I really enjoy following this build up.

It is an early production B&M pan. The new ones are different and I believe they have an extra bolt hole that must be plugged, similar to the Art Carr pans. This one has no extra holes, perfect fit.

'93-'98 Lincoln MkVIII, '96-'98 Cobra, SOME '99 Cobra.

It is stronger than the newer aluminum blocks. Thicker casting (less supporting ribs than the new ones, but otherwise it is much more substantial), aged by the manufacturer, which I believe is the Italian company named Teksid.

Seems like maybe it's a show stopper!

Kooks. They are stainless but I had them ceramic coated too. About 70k on them, still look great.
