I've had my Marauder parked outside for about six weeks. I noticed the left side of the car had settled real low during this time, so I charged the battery yesterday and started her up and waited a few moments . . . No "puurrrrrrrrrrrr" sound was heard from the rear suspension air pump. The left side of the car, still sagging very low. I got in, started it, got out, re-started it, sat on the seat, jumped on the seat, jerked the car forward and reverse. Nothing. What gives?

Network Shooter,

I had a '93 Town Car that did the same thing. It ended up being a blown 30 Amp fuse in the fuse box under the hood (not the one under the dash). That car had a lot of miles on it and when I traded it in on the Marauder it had about 230k on it. It would blow that fuse regularly so I ended up just replacing the fuse with a 30 Amp circuit breaker. It would work on startup and sometime during the drive would blow. Once I installed the circuit breaker it would reset when the car was parked and work again on startup. Of course, you may have another problem but I would check all the fuses related to the airbag suspension first.

I've noticed on my 04MM that the air pump doesn't always turn on when the car is started. Sometimes it takes me putting the car in gear and driving a few feet before it kicks on. I would try driving the car a block or so.

There's no chance you turned the switch in the trunk off when you parked it six weeks ago? Might want to double check it.

try driving the car around the block , if it still is down its dealer time.

Well, drove it around the block a few times, went through the gears, re-seated all the fuses, flipped the switch in the trunk back and forth, etc. Still no "purrrrr." At least it's still under warranty . . .

Sometimes warranty can be a good thing, keep us posted as to the outcome please.
