This may have been asked and answered before, but I couldn't find it...my brand new (last month) NAPA wiper blades are skipping and jumping...it seems there's some sort of film on the windshield. I've tried Windex, but it doesn't help. Someone, Sarge maybe, mentioned using white vinegar...would this be straight, or cut with water? ...anyone have any other ideas for REALLY cleaning glass?

Vinegar and water. Low tech, low cost, great results. Just don't eat the newspaper when you are done!

Also. use the Rain-X wipes and the Rain-X windshield washer fluid.

I use very little water, if any at all (just depensds on how much I have on hand!). Mostly vinegar. Some say a one to one ratio.

RF: Use newpaper to clean the windshield. Vinegar does work best. Just don't get it on the paint.
