Mensrea, just saw you on the tube this morning....The S looked good, especially when they were smoking your rear tires in the staging area!

For those of you who missed it, AutoWeek on Speedvision had a thing on the Marauder S. I guess that was ol' Kenny himself doing the presentation...Just saw a Marauder S in the sheetmetal myself on Saturday....Todd Nelson, aka 93tealcobra, and I met up at the Sunset Ford Mustang show here in STL. Todd, you got robbed, man...A couple of Cobras (the old roadster kind) beat him out for the trophies.

Apples and oranges....apples and oranges. Like a dummy, I forgot to take my camera, but 93tc's gf took hers...maybe she'll post a few pics for us. The show was great, lots of stuff there. Sunset Ford has started an exclusive "Mach 2" appearance package on their Mustangs...they're even putting the new Mach I shaker scoop on some of the V-6 ones.

This kinda leads me to my next idea. I'd like to solicit all you MM owners out there to post on this thread with your various mechanical woes. The idea is thus: As I've read this forum board, I've noticed certain things keep coming up...the package tray rattle/rumble, rear axle problems...one guy had an engine run away on him when his throttle cable came out of a bracket, that kind of thing. Me being one of those overeducated types who enjoys building spreadsheets, what I'd like to do is get all the info from everybody that I can concerning their car and any/all problems they've had with it. What I need is: VIN, build date, mileage on the car when the problems happened (don't need to be too exact, just get within 100 miles or so), nature of the problem, and as an option, dealer you took it too and date of repair. Did it happen again? What was done to fix it? These things are important...

I don't feel confident that Mercury is really giving all the support to this car that they should. They've already botched the ad campaign; I suspect that the MM's current situation is one of those chicken-or-egg things: Did the lack of advertising cause the sales to drop, prompting Mercury to cancel production, or did Mercury deliberately not advertise the car and then use the poor sales as a convenient excuse?

With this in mind, I would submit to you, dear reader, that we as MM owners will need to take it on ourselves to document the various and sundry hiccups/belches/etc. that occur with our favorite ride. I can put the spreadsheet together, and then we can all decide if we want to present it to Mercury as a group.

Or you can all just tell me to take a flying leap..... :baaa:

Anyway, there we are. Look forward to seeing LML's baby back in action, and hope to hear from everybody!
