Hey CAMmers, Jack (Fordfrk) and I with MarauderMark (and Seneca too) will be installing his FIT Procharger next week. Jack will bring the car over on Thursday 12/28 afternoon / evening. The plan is to get the disassembly and modifications done Thursday and reassembly on Friday.

There will be NO 24 hour install this time gents! ;)

If anyone else wants to come by, the door is open.

Thanks for the invite, Charlie. Would like to participate. Unfortunately, I have to work all next week. This is the first time in a long time that I haven't had off between Christmas and New Year's. Seems that I was a little slow on the vacation trigger this year. Blowing 2 weeks in November in the recuperating mode when I shoulda been in Florida didn't help any. :(

Darn!.....:(

I have to work Wednesday -> Friday of next week.

I doubt that I will be able to make it either day unless you work into the evening after 6:00pm.

I guess the first F.I.T. Procharger install I witness will be my own!

What part of MD will you be doing the install? I should check one out since I will be doing mine sometime soon.

Thanks JD!!

Jack already got the fuel pump done, so we are already ahead of the game by a few hours :D .

To the rest, I figured a week day install was going to eliminate many of you. But I have found it is better to do this stuff with a part place open before Monday!

Either way, if you change your mind, ca'mon by and hand me a wench. ;)

If the pump is done you are 75% there!!!:argue: :mad2: :bows: The rest is "Simple" wrenching!!

Good luck and BE CAREFUL with it!! For some strange reason your rear traction goes away shortly after the installation!!??  :D

It's Jacks thunder. What I posted over there is not in its own thread. I thought I'd leave it to Jack. Seneca requested I post the details of his install here.

Besides, what I said in that thread could be misinterpreted into flaming since the install was not the smootest.

You started the thread over here, why not finish it over here.

Well after talking to Jack over the phone I think we have his check engine riddle solved. I discovered that somehow the stock tune got downloaded back into the car. Who knows how long he was driving around like this, but thank God for knock sensors!

Needless to say that after downloading the supercharger tune the car idles and drives much better. Let's hope he's all squared away.

I just wanted to clarify this so no one gets the idea that I'm questioning Charlie's work on Jack's install.

The Predator download log showed that "Original Backup Restored" when I had Jack look at the history. This should have said "Custom Tune". This leads me to believe that the tune was unintentionally returned to stock after the car was flashed with the supercharger tune. How is anyone's guess. The car was running rich because of the 90mm Lightning MAF and the stock tune.

I've had both SCT and Diablo tuners, and if you don't watch what you're doing you this can be easily done unintentionally. I appologize to Charlie if anyone thought I implied anything towards him. Sorry Charlie!

No problem JD.

Could my code reader have a hand in this? We did not use the predator to read the codes for the CEL. It is a stand alone code reader???

I doubt your code reader had anything to do with it.
