a wet kit mounted before the m.a.s. single nozzel duel feed
#76 ON N.O.S # 56 ON FUEL
HAVE NOT BEEN AT THE TRACK YET but have a 68 road Runner runs low 13`s
and the marauder will embarrass it. have to be very carful not to hit the rev limiter . must shift manual , the trans. not fast enough with th sct tune
from D.R.

You can shift the Marauder faster than the computer? There have been a few busted transmissons due to "manual" shifting. I suggest you contact DR to sort out the shift issue.

Good thread. We don't hear enough about NOS here. I was about to pull the trigger on the NOS kit when I changed my mind for the Trilogy instead. I may go with some in the future for a lil more "boost" ;)

well i will be installing a window switch so i wont have to worry about rev limit

Have you decided on a engine builder yet ?

Like the guys have said. Get the tune fixed. You can adjust it yourself too. Installing a window switch is also a great remedy for the problem as well. Combined you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Also your using meth with nitrous? A buddy of mine tried that this year. After a good few months of running good his car is now in the shop with 3 melted pistons. I strongly advise you not to do that setup untill you get a built shortblock and get someone to properly tune your car on a dyno, a mail order tune won't cut it. Do you have a wideband on the car to watch Air/Fuel?

Its likely I'm going to be throwing on a 100 shot this year. I need to get the kit ordered but first I need new tires. :) I don't dare go over this amount with the factory pistons/rods in these cars. Even if the pistons are OK I've seen several rods from other guys bent this year in 99-01 Cobra' and Mach's with power adders.

Hey Defyant...I think that with a stock bottom end a 50 shot is as big of a shot a power adder will safely accept...

You do realize Nitrous dosn't come on smooth like a supercharger or turbo, the pressures in the chamber spike like crazy. Also it slams alot of torque into the equation. A 200 shot is more than enough when it hits to momentarlly bend your crank! On my 347 mustang tuned correctly did 335rwhp and 350ft-lbs. I added a 125 dry shot tuned in at 11.5:1 A/F with max timing for 91 octane and did 436rwhp @ 570ft-lbs. Thats alot of FORCE on the rods and pistons. If your pistons last at high HP thats good but the rods will bend. Like I said I've got 2 friends in the shop right now with bent rods with cars that make about 450-500rwhp and about same torque. So ya just wana be careful.

But with nitrous as the RPMS climb the torque drops. Infact the gains up top 4500+ RPM'swith nitrous arn't huge. A dynograph lay over between my best nitrous run and best S-trim run on the same exact engine saw about a 160hp and 130hp up top 5500-6000rpm. I also ran over a full second faster in the 1/4 vs the nitrous.

Its great to have on a Marauder because they need that extra low-mid range torque to get em scooting out of the hole for not much money at all and can easily be installed in a few hours. However If you want more punch reliably its better to go forced induction it took me 8 years of running nitrous and getting my ass kicked by forced induction guys to realize this. Hell what do I know?

The marauder is rated at what 317tq flywheel stock? Throw a 125 onto that correctly tuned and you can bet you'll get another 150ish or so ft-lbs on the mid end.

With rods that are about the size of my middle finger anything more than that gives me the chills.

The rod on the right is a 99-01, Mach 1, Marauder Rod. (99 Cobra that my friend is building) On the left is out of a freaking corolla that was ran outa oil. The corolla one is thicker. He's doing 03 Cobra internals because he's going to fit an 03 Eaton system onto the car.

i was running 500hp and 600 ft pounds on my mustang 347 and it loved the spray ,that was a 150 shot ,but i will be using a zex wet kit so the actual 125 shot its rated at the crank unlike all the other kits that rate at the wheels ,no big deal if the motor goes it just gets built bigger and better the next round, and ive never heard of running a spray kit before the massair, how is that even possable

Some people do it to convince the MAF to throw more fuel in. I've always ran it at the throttle body on ever car I've installed nitrous on.

Superford, don't ya which you could throw a Nitrous'd 347 in these cars? That oughta get em movin...

I'm planning on doing a 100 shot or 75 shot instead of my S/C for now....Haven't decided between the Zex kit or a NOS kit though.

i ran a zex kit on my mustang and its very reliable and super easy to install compared to all the other kits ive installed so thats what im going with, and right now you can get a kit on ebay for $479 free shipping
