I have seen various posts about cold air intakes, and getting some extra power out of them. I also know that different people (Dennis, K&N, etc.) were working on a CAI for the MM, but I don't think a lot of them are available yet. An internet search, and a lot of phone calls, shows that there are a lot of CAI's out there, but not for the MM. How many actual CAI's are now available for us, and what results do we have about increased power from them? Thanks, Ross

None that I know of. At least, none specifically for the Marauder...but remember, the Marauder has one of the lowest restriction intakes currently available... that, combined with the limited number of cars, means most likely no one WILL make one, other than Dennis...for whom I'm patiently waiting... :D

Most likely, the only place you CAN improve on our OEM system, is at the scoop, before the air box. More scoop = more air.

I agree with RF, why would any aftermarket manfacturer put the time into development when it seems like many of us here are waiting for superchargers. The actual numbers are probably not high, but the emotional cry is loud. If I were K&N, I'd have to ask "why bother?" We already got shot down by AutoMeter, despite the argument that the products we wanted would be cross compatible with CV owners and backwards by ten years. Still, it was not in their numbers "at the present time."

Oh well...

I spoke with the K&N rep. at Summit Racing's 35th aniv. extravaganza last saturday, and he assured me that not only are they making one, but it should be announced for availability in the next 90 days or sooner.

I have his name and number, and will maintain contact month to month and report progress. The people at K&N are aware of our desire to replace this unit with something better.

Let's hope it pans out as he said.
