Hi all
I have had a Superchip Tuner program loaded in my Marauder for a couple of years, before it was at all popular, and never had a problem until recently. Now my converter seems to lock at odd times, even when climing grades at moderate throttle opening, resulting in a bad knock. The only two ways to overcome it are: to go to full throttle, and effect a kickdown and richer mix, or to hit the "OD" off button which will unlock the converter. I am wondering why the knock sensors do not react and dial back the timing, or unlock the converter. Maybe the tuner defeats the knock sensor? I have unloaded the tune, and the knock has gone away, but of course the car feels sluggish.... Wondering if anyone has had similar experience?

I had a similar problem but it was resolved with a new flash.

Winter fuel = Lower Octane??

Contact any SCT tuner and get an updated file as there have been many changes and "Tip In" knocking was one of them!!

Good Luck!!
