Cargo Net

I have recently noticed in several posted pictures of some owner's trunks, that they have a cargo net.

Did this come with your Marauder, or did you get it as an accessory?

I do not have one, and would like one.

The cargo net came with cars that did not order the optional trunk organizer - it was standard issue.

I have one, and when I looked I could not figure out where/how to hang it...maybe I am missing a hook or something. My old focus had 2 hooks just for that, but I can not see anything similar in my MM's trunk. What are they worth? I might be willing to sell mine.

Yes the net was for non-cargo organizer cars, you may also be missing the plastic hooks that hold it in place. I took mine out for the time being so sorry I don't have pics at the moment.

The hooks are integrated into two of the screws that help to hold the trunk liner in place I believe.

OK, so they charged me $200 for the trunk organizer; but didn't give me a credit for the standard issue cargo net that they kept. Bastiges. :mad: :rofl:

It's funny, the net hooks (actually a double headed screw cap) are installed. Mine did come with the organizer option.

Wonder what "RayTheDealer" has them for????

I don't believe it was a standard issue item. I didn't order a trunk organizer and I didn't get the cargo net and it's not mentioned on the invoice / window sticker.

Mine had neither net nor organizer when I found it on the dealer lot. I "liberated" the cargo net from the 2001 CVLX we were trading in on the Marauder. heehee The little nubby things to hook it on were there as if it was waiting for the net.

Oh good, I feel much better now. ;) So, I can go get one now for $3 ???

I didn't even know the MM had the trunk organizer until I start transferring "my stuff" from the old car. :rofl: Can't say that I even looked at the MSRP sticker in the window either. :rolleyes:

I believe that the net was deleted for 2004 regardless of not having the trunk organizer.

That would make sense. No organizer or net for mine.

But, my trade in was missing a net. :D

Mine's an '04 Silver Birch that had no net and no organizer. Granted, I am the second owner, but the car only had 5,600 miles on it when I bought it. Can't imagine the previous owner removed it...

Just checked my window sticker .... the trunk organizer was $200. :oops: Still no credit on the cargo net. ;)

Mostly unrelated question but I'll ask before I forget (as I've done before)--I've noticed in some of the underhood pictures the valve covers are silver, whereas others' are black. Mine are black. Is that an '03 vs. '04 thing as well, or are they only silver if the owner has made that change themself?

I have a trunk organizer lying in my laundry room. My MM isn't a daily driver and so I have nothing to organize.
