"This is my story and I am sticken to it" I dont know if I have the highest milage on the rear stock tires but I am pretty sure it is up there....I took the Marauder in yesterday for new tread at 43,478 miles. For most of that milage I had the PSI at 38. I saved the old ones for a rainy day....it was raining which is why the rims are so dirty...The left tire got a screw in it about 3 thousand miles right in the center of the bald tread but never put a hole in it....the screw was more than half way in straight up and down and I had to take it out with a screw driver....Never had a problem with these tires.

Darn, that's twice the mileage that I gotten on my rear tires. I am on my 3rd set of rears now; but the last one's were swapped out a little early in anticipation of the MV IV trip that never happened.
I try to run 38 psi in the rears, too. However, I get a little lax in checking the pressures. :o Just did them on Tuesday and the rears were down to 30 psi.
Don't think that I would ever run my rears down as far as you did.

Yeah....safety wise it is probably not a good idea to run them down that far.....but it was fun!!! :drive: :burn:

I got almost 30,000 on mine before any wear started looking bad in the4 middle, I droped air out on a long trips.(over 100 miles) about 5 lbs.
Now not being a smart azz here but I would have keep the tires longer but tires are very cheap.

Sadly, I did not know that I was supposed to do a burnout video before I ahd the original tires replaced. I hope to rectify that the next time. :)

When I had my rear tires changed about 3 weeks ago, I think they might have looked worse than that, and I didn't have quite that much mileage on them.

My rears look exactly like yours, Ive got 20k on em. As soon as i round up a few bucks ill get some new hides. Ive gotta say that driving on them w/o center tread is pretty scary esp in the rain. On the brightside it does make an unsuspecting passenger believe that a N/A Marauder is an insane tire shreading beast

75,000/4.5 = 16,666 miles per set on average. I swapped my last set of rears at 17,000 miles so that is pretty close. First rear set was 21,000 at 38 psi. Suggest checking your tire pressures --- if you are running the 32 psi posted on the door, you may be able to "squeak" out something in the 20-25K range if you increase the pressures a tad.
I'd be really interested in hearing what kinda of pressures that SID was running to get his 40K. :D Don't think my driving habits will get me anywhere near that level of wear. :o I tend to get new rubber when the tread is down to about 3-4 mm anyway.
