View Full Version : Compliments welcomed
While transiting the main gate security trap in the #1 lane at my local Air Force Base the guard on the #2 lane called over to me and asked "does that car go as fast as it looks?". I said "yes" and he said "sure is a sweet looking
car". I said " THANK YOU".

I followed the wife (driving the mm) back on our local navy base and after she went thru, the one guard was telling the other "Now THAT is the kinda car I want!"...:) Too funny. We do get a lot of compliments though. That's why I can't wait for the wife's new Ford Edge to arrive, so I can 'inherit' the ol' MM. I got my pickup, harley, and now a marauder (that's all mine), so I should be pretty well set....

Same thing happened to me last week coming through the Army security gate on post. The guard was eyeing the car and said "Man, I want one of those". I mentioned that "It's a Marauder" just in case he didn't know. Then, he gave me the thumbs up sign as I passed him.

I was on the local airforce base visiting an engineer. When I came out all I could see was green fatigues and army boots sticking out from under the back end of the Marauder. I thoguht - God, I dont remember parking on anyone - but when I got closer he popped up from the ground and just started effusing about what an awesome car the MM is. Then his buddy crawled out from under thefront of the car... Strange days on the base.
