I spent just under nine hours detailing Big Joe P's 1963 Oldsmobile Super 88 "Holiday Coupe." It's got a mean look and a mean stance to go with the menacing growl from it's side-pipes, and this car is certainly something you don't see very often!

A neat before/after comparing what it looked like before, and after it was polished.

All of that came from a single door sill...wait, let me rephrase, HALF a door sill :P

After I polished the pedals.

6.5 liters, 345 HP, and 440 ft/lb of sinister grunt.

In the end, both sides of each chrome polishing pad looked like this

I love car names like this, Super 88 Holiday Coupe. Or Turnpike Crusier or Vista Cruiser or who could forget the Family Truckster.

Thanks Jason, the car looks real good.
I especially like the pic where you can see a reflection of the GREEN Olds (for sale here) (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1963-OLDSMOBILE-DYNAMIC-88-HOLIDAY-COUPE_W0QQitemZ170067388713QQi hZ007QQcategoryZ6406QQrdZ1QQcm dZViewItem) parked next to it.

Hard to imagine that car was ever dirty...looks as good as any '07 fresh off the lot, if not better. I wish you lived in Houston.

Wow that look awesome! I'm amazed how the chrome came out, the before/after shot makes me feel like some of the interior parts on my dad's '65 Merc can just be cleaned up.

Would you care to share your favorite chrome polish for parts like that or is it a trade secret? :)

Awesome job!

It's a secret...:D if I told everyone every trick I had up my sleeve, people would stop calling me to schedule.

Actually it was real basic stuff...

...That's all! :D

I didn't realize it until I got home but, I guess I took 90 pictures of your car :dunno:

One kick-ass smoke room you have, wouldn't mind another visit...or five.... :D

Thanks for having me over!

Just call me or send me a PM Mike, we'll get the ball rolling. Weatherman says Snow is coming soon, so that might slow us down.

Very nice in fact. Joe told me the mufflers are inside those pipes and it lets off a real mellow tone with a slight lope in the idle so I was diggin' it.

Joe went with the Stage III & Chrome Polishing add-on option. Suited the Olds very nicely...
