View Full Version : Very Pleased With These Tires
Bought these a few months back for the other car, but ended up installing them on Buster's car, in place of the Nitto's. (On stock Wheels)

I know it says truck tire, but I gave them a shot.
Ive racked up over 300 miles on them so far and could'nt be happier.
They are QUIET, have excellent traction in rain, ice and dry pavement.
The quality I like the most is the price... $102 a piece.

They look good on the car as well.
IMHO: The KDW's are garbage compared to these.

Is there a matching front? I didn't see any listed on tire racks site.
**Nevermind. Checked out General's site no dice on the fronts. These are the only 28's availabe in this style.**

I know it says truck tire.
Nice move, Zack.
I believe the BFG's (and others) don't get it on our car cuz they are made for cars that are about 1000 lbs lighter. I think our 4500 lb heavyweight class CALLS for a truck tire. I think the stronger sidewalls and higher load rating is perfectly appropriate. I have been extremely happy with my truck tire choice and I think other will, too.

Nice tire indeed!!
Who's "Buster"?
I copied him and Have the Toyo 255/50 18's on the back. A little noisy but much better then the BFG's traction, ride, and wear wise.
They also make a 285 50 -18 that is 29.1 inches tall and fits an 8 " rim.

Their tires are only V rated though.

That is Zack's invisible 'friend'.

All I can say right now is that they outperform the KDW's
I havent gone around turns fast yet due to my lack of spare tire hold down. :help:

How do they compare to the Pirelli P-Zeros?
How do they compare to the Pirelli P-Zeros?
This may be out of line and uneducated sounding, but I think Pirelli's suck.
What do they cost? 280-300 for 1?
Kenny Brown has a contract with Pirelli, thus the tire choice.
The Pirelli's dont make the corner good, the fact that is lowered does.
Anyone ever see KB's modified Bump stop on the rear axle? I posted pics of it but im sure everyone doesn't remember.
A KB car sits even from front to back, which gives the greatest cornering advantage as compared to another MM.
I can go on about Pirelli's. I borrowed Mac's tires once and didnt see any difference from the BFG's.
Dont wast the money on Pirelli's!

I don't know about you guys, but I want my rear tires to match my front tires. So if I've got BFG KDWS's on the rear, I want BFG KDWS's on the front. Doesn't sound like there is a match for the 235/50-18 size.
I would like to exceed it at least once. :D

Yeah Yeah I know we shouldn't drive our Marauders in the winter but I have no other choice at the moment.

I just put Kumho Ecsta ASX's on (235/50-18) all the way around and so far I haven't had any problem. Had 3 to 4 inches of snow one morning this week and I got to work ok. They have a great tread and probably run around $120 on Tirerack.

Yeah, me too. I was stoked about this until I realized there is no front application.
Funny how things change. I haven't been on for many months, out of work and no $ to spend, but early last year everyone was going on about the new KDW's! :D
