View Full Version : Good deal on BFG tires
My car needs new tires, so I went internet shopping. I usually buy at tirerack.com, but did some more snooping around this time. tires-easy.com has a set of 4 BFGs for $396 plus shipping. My total with shipping was $474, which was slightly less than Tire Rack's price without shipping. I saved about $50. Just thought you would like to know in case you're in the market for tires. I don't work for either company, usual disclaimers apply.

thanks for the post.....damn rear tires are expensive again...when tirerack used to have those sales on the rear 245s it would be around $87/tire. I would buy like 6 of them because my rears last a year...maybe a little less. But i always manage to burn them up. Front tires are cheap at tires-easy.com though. That's sweet.

I ordered two fronts. They were eaten alive from the bad alignment (didn't feel a thing!!) and are gone on the inside. Better safe than sorry for $53.00 each. I drive too fast to be a cheap-ass.
Well, they sent me an email stating my two rear tires had been shipped, and then another email stating that the front tires were not available and didn't know when they would be available. So the cheap tires aren't available? What a surprise. And what a lousy tactic - shipping the other ones before notifying me. That smacks a little of fraud to me. So I DO NOT recommend buying tires from them.

They are not on the list anymore.
Reminds me of the K&N CAI deal that someone stumbled upon, then when everyone started to order the typo was found and the price went up and orders were cancelled.
I bet it was a clerical error....

They've taken my money for the fronts that I ordered. I hope to see some results soon.

i bought mine the DAY of this posting.....two front KDWS tires....i got an email saying they were unavail and no date of availability.....wtf. Oh well...
Do NOT buy tires from these people. They have sent me 3 emails saying the tires are not available, but have yet to issue a refund to my debit card. I send them an email every day asking them to do that, and no response.

Here's my story - and I'm stickin' to it! I'll say first that I think that I must've been lucky, judging from some of the other stories. When I saw the first postings on this thread, I checked out their site and saw the fronts were at $53. I quickly placed an order for 2. I had brand new front on the car, but the rears were worn pretty thin in the center on the rears. This was the second set of rears on the car at 35.2K.
After hearing some of your stories, and checking their website to see that they no longer listed the BFG's in the 235/50 size, I became worried and called to check on my order. They said they were going to be shipped the next day. I axt if I could add another 2 tires to my order, and after some haggling and speaking to a supervisor, they got it done. I was charged $144.71 twice for two tires with shipping, so I ended up with 4 tires.
I got the first 2 tires in yesterday, and the next 2 just came in today. I'm considering ordering some tires from them for my wife's Durango, but wondering if that would be pushing my luck.

The fronts (235/50-18) are back on the Tires-Easy web site at $80.60 each. You got a deal! Tire Rack shows $99 each for the same tire.
It's strange that I ordered my front tires BEFORE I posted the first post in this thread. Which means that my order was received first. Yet, mine were canceled, and I was told they could not tell me the availability or ETA. It also took a week to get them to issue a refund to my debit card, which shouldn't have been charged in the first place if they did not have the merchandise. I'm going to stick with Tire Rack from now on.

I don't understand why you guys just don't go to COSTCO !!!
As long as you aren't in a hurry, they will get your tires in 10 days or less
and mount, balance, and fill with NITROGEN -- FOR FREE !!!
What better deal is there ???
If you get a flat, you take it to ANY COSTCO
and they put a patch inside the tire for you FREE !!!

What do you guys think of doing the 255's up front on the MM? I like the wide stuff...but don't want to do it if it wont look good next to the 295's in the rear!

Allen, if you have traction control you cannot alter the sizes unless you turn it off every time you drive.

I dont think I have traction control...its a 300A...is that right? does that matter?
my 2 cents: I just put four BFG OEM tires on yesterday $567 out the door. all-in cost cheaper than tire rack. ordered the tires feb 21, arrived feb 28, installed mar 1st.
