Received a phone call from a friend this morning who had just passed a wrecked out black MM on the Dallas N Tollway SB. He was making sure it wasn't me. (It wasn't)
Now, I just want to make sure (or hope) that it was no one here?
I've been staying home or driving the wifes Durango as much as posible with all this nasty weather.
Hope everyone is alright!!! See you on the 20th!?!?

Man It's supposed to get icy down here (houston) and I have to drive mine to school tomorrow. the way people drive down hear is bad enough, now add ice and you've got a big problem. 'knocks on wood'

You will notice, my friend, that most of those cars in the icy Texas ditches have
"University of Michigan" or "I Love NY" or some other Yankee stickers on them.
Harder to read when their upside down though.

Both the Marauder and Ginny and I are OK---just hibernated during the weather--actually, it wasn't bad on our block--We were never iced in--could always get down my steep-curvy driveway--didn't try it, but I could have--21 years i New York taught me when to stay home. Hope to see a bunch of you folks Saturday--rain or shine---this isn't a car show, it's a get-together of good friends at a new friends house--I believe Sonny will be there--be good to see him---lots of planning to do--Sooooo, ya'll come now, ya heah, Maury

No kidding Wes....It has pretty much been wet down here since I put them on and no traction problems at all....even in all this ice...the tires seem to break it up pretty good...although I have not ventured on to any highways but none the less I have been crossing bridges on my way to work....

Could be my imagination, but that looks like an A&M Sticker on one of those vehicles. Some people will put anything on their car in order to use the "handicap parking" spaces. The A&M flags that you roll up in the window are a whole lot more useful. That way other drivers can see an Aggie coming toward them and utilize their skills learned in the defensive driving course!

That A&M sticker helps finance the 5 car habit that I currently support!
I actually put my diploma on my dashboard to use the handicap parking when I go shopping. It sure beats walking like all you other burnt orange fans.

Just kidding! I'm a fan of every Big-12 team when they play non-conference. During conference play, my favorite team is whoever UT is playing that day.
Once they got rid of Slocum, I went back to being an A&M fan. They got on my s**t list when they ran Jackie Sherrill off. I'm a fan of any coach who can beat UT five straigt years. Took a while to get over losing Jackie.
We had a kid on that team down there in Austin for three years. While it lasted, he got us great tickets to the OU-UT game, so I guess it wasn't a total loss.

I'm glad you know to get out of the way when you see an Aggie flag on the move. Us Aggies have a lot more territory to take over so we appreciate your kind defensive driving skills. LOL.

Jackie actually beat them 7 times in a row. Jackie was a cheater, he almost got aTm the death penalty and I'm glad we made the switch to RC!
Besides you sissies call that snow?

Jackie was easy for some folks to dislike and find fault with.........because he is a winner. No one goes after the "cheaters" who still manage to lose.

Sure they did, UT got nailed for many of the same violations that aTm did, except that they cheated and never won!

Sure they did, UT got nailed for many of the same violations that aTm did, except that they cheated and never won!I didn't move from Iowa to Texas until late '79. Guess that was before my time.
My being a fan of Jackie goes back to when he was an assistant for Johnny Majors at Iowa State--before some cretins on the faculty decided there was too much emphasis on football and they ran the whole staff off to Pitt. Along with Tony Dorset!
One pre-Texas memory that I do have is of a one-man gang named Curtis Dickey of A&M whipping the doodoo out of the Cyclones in the '78 Hall of Fame Bowl. Still can't believe he never made it in professional football!
