Hey guys, I get bad ideas all the time, here's one of them.
Does anyone have a cop Crown Vic push bar on a Marauder? Pics?

I believe Wesman has one on his MM. Also, here's a thread that shows pics of a MM that has one.

I threaten from time to time to put one on our MM, but the wife is afraid she would be tempted to use it on someone. :)

I wonder if he ever did end up parting that thing out *hmmm*
I don't think the push bar looks that bad. I think it just makes the Marauder look that much more evil.

The push bar looks okay, the steel wheels on a Marauder though are a huge waste of our really really expensive, very nice stock wheels.

This car also has the pre-2003 Crown Victoria wheels on it, which have a different offset than the 2003+. They throw the tires out about 1 1/2" more than normal.

There's a hilarious video somewhere around here taked from inside a MM with a pushbar. Video is one of our members running a road track meet with a BMW club in Canada IIRC. It's hilarious, the big bad Marauder chasing the tiny beemers around like it's trying to eat them. :)

The steel wheels appear to be a snow tires for winter use.

Not this again. Why?
but, in the end, it's your car.

I have thought about this many of times. If I get one which I will I'm going to go with the full wrap around. Yes I know it adds 50-60 lbs to the front, thats fine but with the deer that run around my area all year long I'd rather have them ding and sratch up the push bar than smash my front end up plus it gives it a certain more evil authority look lol.

Hi all,
I actually thought I might like to have a push bar on the front of my Marauder. Then I went to Marauderville IV and saw the Marauder with the light bar in the rear window and in the grille. That's really what I would like to have. To get those slow pokes out of my way! :)

I thought MM.net wouldn't have whacker problems?
Just buy a P71 if you want people to think you're a cop *rolls eyes*

No need for it. All it will do is screw up your frame if you hit someone or thing hard enough. Not only that, holes will have be drilled for the brackets.

Go for it dude. Who cares what others think? It's your car do what you want to it. You know how many ideas I had that people thought were stupid until I did them? Probably 3.

i second the u want a push bar, get a CV
we have enough problems with people thinking MM are cop cars without the push bar.
but it is your car so go ahead and cut up the bumper and drill some holes.
Ive seen a couple on cardomain.com that have it.
i do kinda like the bumper with the fog lights the CV is sporting

The problem is we actually want to go fast too. The SOHC w/ 250 hp isn't going to cut it.

That would be mean if it wasn't true I suppose, lol. Oh, and I don't know what year CV you're thinking of, but I can't think of any year CV that made 250HP...maybe at the flywheel, but definately not 250HP at the wheels!

250 hp flyhweel on the new ones. I don't measure HP at the wheels unless I'm on a dyno.

I don't care about drilling some holes in the frame, but does the bumper cover really have to be cut to install the push bar?

It does on mine. Not sure on some of the newest versions.
Now that you mention it, Go rhino has come out with a no fascia cut push bumper recently. Though if anything I'd go for the heavy duty wraparound to look pretty bad ass.

JD, do you have a link or part # for the no cut bar? Also, is it no cut specifically for the PI (which may mean cutting the different MM front end)
Here ya go with the link:
http://www.gorhinopd.com/PB-Car-CrownVictoria/PB-Car-Crown-Victoria.html
and according to them and other various retail vendors the part number is 5040
And I don't think you would have a problem since we have similar openings at the front of our cars and others have put on the bars too. But to be on the safe you should contact them to be on the safe side

What is wrong with you people? It's a Marauder. They even look dumb on police cars, let alone Crown Victorias or old P71s. None of the police cars in my area have those hideous things and it looks so much better. You're driving a Mercury, a limited edition Mercury with a very expensive front fascia, and you want to cut holes into it. Why? Are you really that into trying to intimidate people that you're willing to damage a limited production car? 90% of the people that see it will laugh at you, anyway. I know I would, but there would be a little bit of shame in there too. I already tell people off when they ask me if people move out of my way on the highway.
Adding a pushbar to a Marauder is far more poser than adding one to a CV - and that's already pretty bad into the poserness.

I agree they're for work vehicles; i.e. Police, so don't perpetrate.

I am definitely getting a no cut Rhino one and I'll take it on and off as I feel like it. Just like I have several sets of wheels for my older cars, that I swap around when I feel like a little change.
NO CUT. IE YOU DON'T RUIN THE BUMPER. The MM isn't worth any more than a used 2008 Hyundai right now, as far as resale. Don't get bent out of shape over it. These cars are meant to play with.
Nowhere near as expensive as I thought. $200 for the no cut

Maybe I'll paint the uprights white so it looks like my car has tusks?

:sigh: Just as this thread was about to die again . . .
But to answer your question it would seem through the context and the flag smiley that it means good, but its probably something that the author should answer.

Disclaimer: Just because you may have an interest in push bumpers, doesn't make you a bad person.
Hey, push bumper fans! There's no need to feel alienated from the "community" for simply liking the idea of a push bumper. I was DYING to put a push bumper on my 1972 Datsun 240Z when I was 16! And, it's not like push bumpers don't have their practical uses. They're really good for . . . pushing stuff outta your way! You know that shopping cart at Home Depot that's always taking up that PERFECT spot? And howbout those annoying pedestrians! I could actually really use a push bumper, since they make EXCELLENT camera mounts. I've actually been eyeing the aluminum Setinas (thanks, huot5!). Hey, I'm already commiting Marauderdom blasphemy by doing a CVPI front-end conversion to my poor "Mercury" Marauder. What's one more sin?
