You didn't say what your mileage was.

AC problems could be one of two things.
The hole in the bottom of our bumper allows stones to hit the AC Condensor.
All it takes is the right stone shot to put a tiny hole in it.
The Halogen leaks out and the system stops working.
Have any Automotive HVAC check it out for you.
They can refill the sytem and add a flourescent dye and it will show
where the leak is.
Some Marauder owners have had the HVAC Controller in the dash
go bad and stop sending power to the AC Clutch.
That can only be diagnosed with a swap of the controller.

If the compressor failed, which I doubt it did, it would have gotten
VERY NOISEY before it gave up its ghost. They don't leave quietly.

I have the same squeak you have.
The first time it happened, it was the serpentine belt tensioner.
It has come back and it happens when it is damp and cold.
I'm not sure if it sit tensioner again or another belt idler.
My belt has about 35,000 miles on it but it doesn't show any cracks yet.
Any technician can check this for you.
