Hi guys, I'm going to go against the grain here and ask if it's possible to remove my stock MM decklid spoiler/wing. I assume it's too late to do that and it has holes drilled that it bolts through?

If it's installed correctly the trunk lid is drilled.

Yes it should be bolted in. If you do take it off I'm interested in buying it.

Ah if its drilled which it is, it's staying on. I'm not dealing with holes in the decklid. Not for sale. Thanks guys.

Look underneath the deck lid. Are there holes that are plugged with plastic caps? If so open them up and see if you see bolts. If there are none then it might just be stuck on with 2-sided tape.

Perhaps the installer of your Spoiler half-assed it

Doesn't hurt to check ;)

I'll check for the bolts. Thanks guys. Still not for sale, if I take it off I might put it back on later. I change my mind a lot.

The guy at the ford dealer i use for paint and body thought I was nutty as a claxton fruitcake adding the spoiler untill he saw it painted and mounted. IMHO it finishes off the overall look of the car. I had to have one after our first local meet where I saw them in person. Took me a while, but I had mine added on when I had other body work done. I like it because it's an understated spoiler, not a huge gaudy mofo.

Leave it on, these cars look great with it. It is not big and obnoxious. I put one on my GM and get alot of positive comments on it.

VicsEvilBrother,

That's what I was going to suggest. I live in Pensacola, Florida. Where are you located? My trunk lid is naked and needs a spoiler real bad!

Call Ray "The Dealer". Or they show up on eBay every now and then.

The OEM spoiler was an option. It was not included as a "stock" item on all MMs.

I got one.... already painted black from my local ford dealer and put it on myself....on the 99 CroVic P71... came out fine... was about $200 3 years ago...holes in outside of lid and 1 inch access holes with a hole saw inside trunk reinforcement panel...rubber plugs inside... double sided tape outside.. drilling the first hole... with templates was still a sweater..RAM
