I'm sure someone will give you a better list, but basically 03s have two types 300A and 300B the A had map pocket things a dash radio remote fuel door opener, no TC and no sun roof the other models including 04s didn't have the things I listed the A as having but had TC and you could get a sun roof. The next thing would be that 04s seem to have less little problems. Personally mine hasn't really had any problems factory wise, other than an air bag sensor that got replaced under warranty. DTR is a shade of red.
So to answer your question which one to get depends on you, 03s will be cheaper, and different colors came in different years. If money is no object just buy mine :D

The 03 has dual knock sensors and a 4R75W instead of the 4R70W, and the rest is all cosmetic, I would go with a 04 but either car is just plain awsome.

Paul - Welcome aboard.:D :welcome1:
From the factory the 2003 and 2004 perform about the same IMO.
You can add numerous modifications available from vendors on this site to improve performance.

04, the 75 has the different OD band thing, and a different Tourque converter I heard.
Like I said buy mine then none of that will matter ;)

04 has the dual knock sensors, supposedly improved tranny over the 03 model, slightly higher compression ratio and improved head design. DTR is Dark Toreador Red. The lower build # color for 04.

I had only known of the Dual Knock sensors, 4R75W tranny and upgraded Torque Convertor....what's the deal with the CR and Cylinder Heads?
I thought that the Mach I, Aviators and Marauders all had the same DOHC Heads...:dunno:

Just over 11,000 Marauders were produced. Exactly 3,213 were made in 2004. A majority among both years were black. There were 328 blues in 2003 and 980 dark toreador reds in 2004. Silver birch is the second most common color. If you want a factory sunroof - you have to buy a 2004. The VIN will begin with "2MHHM" if it is an OE sunroof. 2004's had beefier trannies and a higher stall torque convertor. Options were trunk organizer, heated seats, CD Changer, rear wing and sunroof to name a few. Original MSRP for my 2004 was $36,300. Look carefully for previous damage and get a CarFax. You can get a low-mileage one for less than $18K.

My prediction (as a Marauder owner since 11/21/06) is that, whichever one you'll get, you'll love it! I still haven't gotten over the new-car "excitement" with mine yet, even having had it for 2 months and about 3k miles...

That grin :D doesn't go away. I've had mine for 39 months and I am still thrilled just to get in it and DRIVE.

I have had mine for 15 months and still get giddy when people snap their neck taking a second look where the noise is coming from when the exhaust howls. I still get excited just washing it and the people that take a look driving by before I put her back in the garage.
