Well Monday I deceided sense I had the day off I would take my MM in to have a few things taken care of.For somereason the only problem I mentioned when I turned in my car was the stumble when cold.
That fix was done in less than 2 hours,CPU reflash and I was out of there.
On the drive home I could FEEL the difference!Right off idle the car would just.........well,GO.Before there seemed to be a dead spot when the throttle was just tipped.
Then when I got home the big DUHHHH hit me!Hey dumb!@# what about the steering rack leak!
So I call my SA back to take the car in but had to wait to Wednesday. So Tuesday night I drop the car off.
Steering Rack,Check.
Rear Axle S/M.Check.
Well here it is Friday and no car!
I called yesterday and my fears where confirmed. They ordered a rack for a G/M not a Marauder, and guess what? They're not the same part!
My SW SAYS he made sure the Mechanics knew the car was a Marauder not a Grand Marquise,LIKE EVERY PIECE OF PAPER I HAVE ON MY CAR SAYS!!! You all know oaise only sees it as a G/M.
So if all the planets somehow alien I should get my car back tonight.
Can't wait to drive out and find the steering wheel upside down.........
And it better be SPOTLESS.

Can't go on spside down. The linkadge is tappered , not round. I had to reattach mine for the tow and transport. The :censor: who butchered my car didn't reconnect it, and I had to find the bolt for it from the box of other bolts. Not easy.

I know what happened to your car, but why would they have removed the steering wheel????
Cyclone, as far as your car being spotless when the dealer returns it to you, watch out! I don't let my dealer wash my car when it's in for service, because they use one of those drive through rotating brush contraptions. I don't want one of those things touching my car and putting those fine marks on the paint which have to be hand waxed (and maybe polished) out. Unless the dealer hand washes cars (which I doubt), I would just as soon get it back dirty and either wash it myself, or have it washed someplace where they won't damage the finish. IMHO, of course, others may disagree.

The :censor: disconnected the linkedge next to the motor. I'm just glad I can figure puzzeles out. I've never really worked under the hood of a car before other then to poke here and there.

The upsidedown steering wheel was just a joke.
This is not..............
Just got off the phone and my car will no how no way be ready untill next Tuesday if the planets line up!
No Rack in Texas, they say.Coming from.......??????
I was worried this might happen.
I took the car to my local Ford dealer, less than 10 miles and a very easy drive from my house, insteed of the 20+miles and traffic to the LM dealer I bought from.
Considering how my purchasing dealer pulled parts off of new cars siting on his lot for me,I think they would have done the same for me now too. :(
Oh well.

The fewer trips to the dealer the better off you are. IMHO.

Why don't we make a list of the top ten problems and each month all of us bring our cars in to have them checked out at the same time. This would bring more attention to the problem of the month. Each month we move on to a new problem. It may take a while but after a few years we would have most problems solved! :P :coolman: STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!:D
