I like my stock Marauder, thats about it.

The Marauder is a unique combination of comfort, size, luxury and performance. I already had a perfectly nice very low mileage Crown Vic, but traded up to a Marauder. I like the fact that we have so many upgrade options available if we wish to spend the money to go faster. I'm getting old and comfort on trips is important to me.

Looks, performance, comfort, people asking "What's that? It looks like a cop car but sounds like a mustang." :D

Love the car!
Fun to drive, it's comfortable, sounds good, turns heads, and has decent power out of the box. Really gets fun when you spend a couple of bucks on performance upgrades.
As the years go by, I may get another vehicle or two, but I plan on keeping the MM as an "old man's toy."

I like the family car size in a performance package and great mileage to boot.:)
I hate the cars two cent paint job Ford really failed at something they have been doing since Henry's time. BLACK PAINT....:o and

The paint job quality out of the factory is pretty bad. I have DIRT in my factory paint. You can also see a spot where the spray gun skipped a beat and left an orange peel fan mark on the panel. It looks like 30 year old detroit quality.
The panel alignment is also 30 year old Detroit. It is nowhere near up to par for a modern car.
The car is really really large and has substancial body roll stock. I will be going with adco sway bars to try to tame this, but it is not like the '03 Acura TL-S I traded in on it at all, not even close. (The TL-S was a piece of crap for its own reasons)
The steering wheel is the biggest thing I have ever seen, its gotta be at least 16". Way too big.
The steering ratio is very very very slow, also 30 year old Detroit style. It must be 17:1? It's hand over hand slow.
Great engine and cool looking but definitely has its down sides if you have driven other $30k + high performance sedans to compare it to.

Wow! This is the exact type of info I am looking for guys/gals? Keep up with the good info please. All this talk about the car being fast is funny. One of the reasons I want the car is to keep me from driving so fast. I'm trying to think of it as a "old man" cruiser that looks cool. I used to drive a Infiniti G35 coupe, and now I drive a Toyota Tacoma Xrunner. My Xrunner will outperform a 350z on the skidpad,so I'm used to sporty cars that can handle the twisties no problem. Having a car with some body roll is kinda what I'm looking for.

You are in the wrong place if you think the Marauder will tone you down. Old man cruiser ---- right !!!! It's quite likely that it will have the opposite effect on your right foot. As to body roll, the stock MM has a pretty stiff heavy duty suspension. Not much body roll there -- as compared to a CV or a GM. Of course, sway bars and control arms will stiffen it up even more. :D

Old man cruiser?? Maybe some chrome fender flares, a ragtop and mag wheels would make a marauder fit that description.
One Magazine had a good description for the car, they called it a Bodybuilder in a tuxedo.
Pay no attention to the Grand Marquis that the older folk enjoy driving, the Marauder is something different and special.
That is why I love this car as much as I do.

Bluerauder, the only things that would have more body roll than a grand marquis or a crown vic would be a ship on the water. The stock MM has a ton of body roll compared to an import sport sedan, and compared to a lot of smaller domestic sport sedans. I can deal with it, and it sounds like this guy can too, but it is far from a roll-free ride stock.

It is one of a few cars that I've wanted from the start, regardless of "issues". Also, after seeing the Burnout videos of a few S/C'd MMs, that is next on the list.
BTW, Zack is selling THE one and only "Legend" and it is not an Acura.

It's a Mustang with a decent job and a mortgage.
It's long legged. I'm doing 80 MPH at 2300 RPM, and if I need to pass someone there is still a lot of HP left. I can drive 600 miles and step out fresh.

After 30 some years of research, just about the only one that can withstand my bad treatments and fill most needs (after a blower and a few other little things):
- A great all around performer stock; a lot of potential when modded.
- A classy and understated look,
- Great comfort for 4, almost 5 Adults,
- Solid as a brick when police style stunts in ditch or collision are happening (do not really support it but had to do both against my will),
- You can mod it indefinitly, just like a Mustang,
- You can make it as fast and costly as a Mustang !!,
- Unlike, really, a Mustang, you can use it in winter safely and know you won't be stuck in 1" of snow/2 degree slope in front of a ten people attending the bus at a crosslight (also did that : no good !). You can expect to actually reach your destination in a snow storm with proper 16"!!.
- Just about the most open architecture as it can get to be able to find and fit parts in the new or used Ford part bin from decades ago or decades to come.
Drawbacks:
- Big and heavy like a brick. Not nimble at all in tight interior concrete parkings or in medium/heavy traffic,
- Too much electronic or overly engeneered functions to my taste, and still, the oldest platform available as a new car on the market,
- Not really fun to drive like those smaller stick shifts sportier sedan from far away in the curved stuff,
- Will run for decades. I guess i'm stuck with it !! :D

BEAUTIFUL BIG BAD BLACK 4400 LB 4 DOOR SEDAN with a BAD ATTITUDE.....
that runs 12s with a 'small' V8!
(not to mention the best looking set of OEM rims & exhaust tips ever and a nice 'rake' from the factory)

I love the looks from the wheels, tips, floor shifter gauges, gives a nice roar when you put an K&N Air Charger on it, I love how it'll downshift 2 gears when you floor it on the highway, never really had any problems with it.
Looks great especially after a wax. I love the stiching on the seats, the slick looks of it, people slowing down for me, getting thumbs up from the brothers, the Marauder community is great, people that I run into with one love it, it loves jumping railroad tracks and other things plus cops usually gimme a break.
I just wish I had a blower.... one installed on it.
A 4,400 pound car that can make you giggle like a little kid while cornering through cloverleaf on ramps.

Hi all,
I'm with you guys. It's like having a four door Mustang that is very comfortable on a long drive. (I'm a really big guy as those that met me at Marauderville IV can tell you.) The car fits me good and is so comfortable I can drive from Pensacola to Orlando and get out feeling great! In fact the trip back was even better because I picked up a Cruiser arm rest and a Dead Peddle while at Marauderville IV. Plus the performance and handling is very sporty for such a large car. And I get great comments on it all the time. The last time I filled up a guy driving a dirty Ricer came up and asked if he could look inside. He had heard of the Marauder but never seen inside one before. He encouraged others there to have a look, too! Ooos and aahs all around. And my Marauder was even dirty at the time since it had been raining for a couple of days. I like everything about my Marauder. It makes me smile every time I drive it. :)

As for me I like just about everything about the car. From the way it looks, sounds and rides. Once you have this puppy rolling and get on the pedal it is a beast and when others hear it kick down and raise up they have a tendency to get out of the way! Spend some of the kid's inheritance and there is not much on the street that can top it!

I have owned Corvettes in the past. Then Mustang GTs, which I always referred to as "a poor man's Corvette". The Marauder I call an "old fat man's Corvette". Before buying the Marauder, I found I can not get in and out of a Corvette anymore without contusions, and can't sit with my head up without the seat raked back so far you're practically lying down.
The Marauder is fast, comfortable, handles great......and I don't miss Corvettes anymore!
