If I recall I think the going rate for an airbox and snorkel was $50-75.

The MM airbox has a different design than the CV / GM, in that the top is taller and with a different slope, and the inlet snorkel is considerably larger. In general it's a much better flowing unit. *Out of the car and side-by-side the difference is VERY evident.

Couple that with a larger MAF ( 80mm versus 70mm ) and the CV / GM can expect and increase of ~15HP and ~20FtLb ( with an appropriate tune to accomodate the MAF table change ).

Most CV / GM owners will want the MAF to be included, since porting the stock 70mm MAF to the MM airbox takes fabrication and is a pain.

And not to start any K&N filter wars, BUT ... IMO you're better off staying with paper so it would add no value to the sale. *MAF tends to get contaminated and requires cleaning due to the K&N filter oiling. Ya, Ya I know ... you've ( of someone you know ) has used 'em for skatey bazillion miles with no problem. Like I said ... IMO.

I understand about what your saying about the K&N but i do use them on every car or truck ive ever had and i am a technician/service writer and have never had a problem with contamination on the maf ever ,i think that problem has to do with the owner that cleans the airfilter over oils it when re spraying,i have a loud JLT kit now and still use a K&N and the filter does cost $35 new so i do think its a plus imo but thanks for the input
