I want to say that me and Ms M had a nice trip thru Fla during our trip the 22 thru the 29th of Jan.--I really don't see how you folks from Fla. can keep from getting speeding tickets---there is so much of straight roads that go on for ever and ever....that you can go about as fast as you want about anytime you want--it truely is so very tempting...WOW--No wonder there is so many Superchargers in the state---everyone cruises around 80+ --and to play---well, with all the fast cars whcih seems are everyewhere as well, you better have something or forget about it..ok enough of that----

Our trip started out with a big FLAT--yep--right in the garage at 7AM --While checking the tires before leaving , found my right rear 295 with 15# air------
you know how things always seem to come in threes-

well, my second suprise was when I went to pump up the tire , my pump connector broke at the lighter plug ----so I tried to fix it --after 30 minutes---say- did I mentioned we were wanting to leave@ 7am --I decided to drive the car, with trunk loaded, to the gas station about 2 miles away--get air and see where the problem was----seems the logical thing to do--ok --

now comes the third suprise--as soon as I drive in to the gas station, this guy with an old van beats me to the "air" station--He takes about 20 minutes to check all four(4) tires---At this point I was really pixxxed... ok

Finally got air and found the screw in the tire--decided to drive home and take off the tire and put in truck and get a plug for it--after that and returned and put tire on --finally ready to leave--time--10:15 AM--

Had to cancell our appointment in Savanna ,GA at 11:30 AM--so we kept on going to Jax, Fla .. Got there about 4:30Pm--We had called ahead an arranged to meet up later in the evening with Dennis and Shelia for Dinner.

We had a very nice Dinner with Dennis and Shelia --It was great meeting again and enjoying talk about Dennis's new motor build-ups.

Onward to Punta Gorda on Tuesday-Stayed with my brother thru Thursday and left on Friday the 26th--While in Punta, we went to a nice jaming restruant that had people drop in and with their own instruments from slid trombones to saxaphones , play for free and jam away --It was a packed place and fun----we also on Wednesday went to the outer barriers to visit the point and light house at Boca Grande--It was really windy and we did some shell searching along the beach---There is truely NO defence there in a storm---but a pretty place and really nice expensive homes---we rented a golf cart and drove around the whole place on the roads (allowed there) --that made it really enjoyable--I recommend it if you go --Thursday we stayed local in Punta and visited the local arts and stuff---

Friday we left and traveled over to the east coast and went to the Lion Country Safara--off Rt. 80.-along the way we stopped and took some pics with car on top of the levy of Lake Okeechobee--really neat to be able to drive the MM up to the top of that beauty and look out-must look for those pics and post them--oh well--after that we went on over to Ft. Pierce and called up Rick--ya know--the guy with that silver and black MM with some green in the middle--OK, ya'll know him here as "imaginat"--hope I spelled that right--anyway

We had a very nice dinner out with Rick, his girlfriend and daughter--A greta Steak place--I must thank Rick here for offering his bed and place for us to stay over night--where could anyone find such friends--I tell you this car has brought so many peoiple close together--Althought a wonderful gesture, we declined being so late and Ms M really wanting more privacy---Hey--Rich understood and My hand goes out to a find gentleman---now the next time Ms M will feel a bit better since she has now met him and had dinner as well with him....Ms M wants to say thanks for all your help and pointing out where to go for our overnight stay near your home--so thanks again Rich--

I also want to point out that I missed out on meeting some of you folks and am sorry--but its hard to say when I was going to be where----It was nice talking to folks like the rat pack (Eric) and Brian(roylpita) and others--sorry I missed your gatherings at the Tower Shops and the car show at Cape Cora--seems to be going opposite of where you all were --

We spent all day Saturday going up A1A from Ft. Pierce to Flager Bleach-about 6 hrs worth--slowly enjoying the sights and beaches---stopped eventually back in Jax, for another overnight--and yes once again with Dennis and Shelia----They brought along their grandaughter, which we have three of and she was so wonderful and well mannered for a young 3 year old--We again had a wonderful time and a great meal--

We left Sunday and finally made it back home by 4:30PM---

It was fun and as always- wishing we had more time for doing more and seeing ya'll..maybe next time....

Oh yeah--what is the secret for going fast in Fa without getting a ticket-cause it seems every time I wanted to --there popped out a white and green CV --YOU KNOW THE ONES------

THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED US ON THIS TRIP--YOU FOLKS ROCK!!

The restaurant ... we're you at Fishermans Village on the water ?.

Boca Grande is a nice place to hang out for the day. Parking the car & renting a cart is defintely the way to go there.

Glad you made it home safe. Nice chatting with you on the phone ... hope to catch you in person the next time you are down.

Hey Eric--Yeah--nice speaking as well--NO , the restraunt was elsewhere in town--an Italian place--the owners were dressed out like Zorro --kinda Spanish looking place-----Yeah--That Fishermans Villiage place is near by brothers home and we have been there many times ---That too is a terrific place--many stores and fine shopping--and of course at the piers end--a great bar and jaming place for dancing at night---

Your right--on the outer barriers islands--it really windy --but nice and pretty--got to see the "hotel" where President Bush is said to stay when visiting---interesting--he must sneak in there and leave before the media knows about it----sorry for missing ya and others --will have to set up a definiate local meet with various regions next time ---take care--- wish we had more MM members here as you guys have there in Fla---keep in touch---Tom
