I picked up my new Marauder two weeks ago and like any new car owner I went over it with a fine tooth comb . I noticed that the date on the door said 08/02, assuming the mfg date so with that in mind what I found underneath made sense. Alot of rust (oxidation) on the universal joints and the rear suspension brackets as well as some of the small brake parts and manifold exhaust . Has anyone on here experianced this ? What did you do if anything. On a side note while I was examining underneath I actually found a rubber band around one of the radiator hoses just hanging there . (Someone at Ford had a sense of humor.
Today is Friday the thirteenth so of course my driver side window stopped working. Taking it in tomorrow. :help:
ps: I love this car !!!!!

Spider - Welcome to the best site on the web. You came to the right place. Your MM was probably on the dealers lot for ten months. Unfortunately the conditions you mention occur during that time. Good luck with your new ride.

Spider I think you'll be happy with your 300A Marauder. You just have to drive it and it will come around.

Thanks, I have been reading for a few weeks and this is indeed a great site ! I'll inquire tomorrow to see if there is a rust inhibitor that can be used on those parts then repost to the community. On a positive note this car runs great and have had so many inquires that I made copies of the performance stats to hand out.
