Anybody else have this problem? What's the fix?
Widdened rear rims and the OEM center caps don't fit. Stick out 1/2 inch or so.

Did you take off the center caps before you sent the wheels out? If not, maybe they just didn't push them in hard enough to compress the clips and seat the caps properly. Widening itself shouldn't have had any effect on the center caps going back on. Strange.

Bought the rims from Trilogy. Caps came from the OEM rims I took off (and will have 4 sale soon). I was told by Jerry they source them directly from Alcoa. I haven't looked closely at the hole & cap yet. Maybe a little modification will work. Trying to resist the big hammer approach.

Your rims could possibly be the new Mustang MM rims. The MM caps will not fit very well on these Mustang MM type rims.

Took a closer look and the caps are seated as far in as they can go. The rim around the wheel hole doesn't have the recessed edge to fit the rim under the edge of the cap. As mentioned above, these are likely the Mustang spec'd wheels. I think I'm going to leave them as is for now.
That sucks. The alternatives are awesome though! Cobra, SVT, Ford Racing or God-forbid the dreaded red "R" caps.
Good luck,
J

Do the wheels have two weld lines around the circumference about 1.5" apart??

The reason I asked was that you mentioned you got them from someone who got them from Alcoa and I tried like crazy to get Alcoa (a friend works there) to make wider wheels for us when they initially forge them....but they have a restrictive contract with Ford and not enough metal to change the dies without completely re-engineering the whole program....not to mention liability, etc.
What probably happened is they are Mustang wheels that don't have the recess that Marauder wheels do......Ask you vendor and perhaps send them back for machining if necessary?? I'm sure WeldCraft can do it but perhaps you can have someone locally do it for ya??

The Marauder God Head cnter cap is double side taped to it's clip-on backing. Carefully separate the god head portion by starting with a flat blade screw driver. Get a center cap that fits the wheel and is flat. Clean any tape residue with denat alcohol. Apply the god head with 3M trim tape and warm the tape with a hair dryer before removing the backing and applying to the cap. Wala... Caps that fit.

So is this an indication that there are no more "new" OEM spec Marauder wheels? It's kind of hard to imagine this was simply a screw up in part numbers.
