Ok I will be glad to help with a group buy, for the PI converter group buy this will be for the single disk, you will need to specify what stall, and if the car is N/A or S/C the converters will be shipped free, I cannot post any thing under MSRP wich is 734.00 just call Jackie and place the orders she will tell you the price over the phone.

The free shipping alone will save you a bunch!

If you are on the fence about getting a PI, get off it and get one of these. You won't be sorry.

What kept me from doing this mod sooner was the fact that I used my car as a daily driver and I was afraid the drivability was going to be affected.
After the install, I didnt notice any issues except being able to smoke the tires off the line if I went more then 1/2 throttle from a stand still.

Go for this mod!

I'd heard of driveability issues also, but TJA and DR assured me and DR followed through with a great tune and I've personalized it a bit. I love it!

Which stall speed? I don't drag race my car, but I do like a little street action now and then :)

You gents considering mods, A PI converter is one of the best one hands down!

It's one of the few things you can put into the car which is significantly noticeable.....in a good way.

C'mon, guys. Dennis was good enough to give us a nice price break. Let's not disappoint him. I did a lot of researching on the TC before I decided to get one. I don't see a downside to it, and a lot of upside. I was going to hold off til spring before I bought one, but Dennis made it worth my while to do it now.

I am thinking about it Dennis...what's rough ballpark estimate for my local tranny shop to swap them for me?

Also... will the old MM torque conv fit in the wifes 2000 mustang GT vert and would there be any benefit over the stock one that is currently in her GT?

Just FYI....

The Trans MUST be removed to install thie TC.

Having the Trans out, makes it VERY easy to install the Rear Head Cooling Mod.

....just a though

A fair cost is 300 or less and the old Marauder converter would work great in the mustang

3K = 3000 STALL A 3500 HAS A 500 RPM HIGHER STALL

Raudermaster

I know, I meant does a 3500 stall allow the engine to spin up faster than a 3k and get power faster?

A dito on Raudermaster stall speed question; If you could futher expound ?
What is oem stall speed ?
What speed is lock up on oem tq ?
Didn't the sct x call 2 we purchased from you have a reprogram change on tq lock ?
If one purchasesed a new tq with high stall speed do I need to send my sct x cal2back to you to get reprogramed or reflashed ?

I'll be calling you tomorrow to place my order.
Hope I don't need to have my xcal2 reflashed.

Yea Dennis, will I have to send my tuner back to Lidio? Or is this something I could "tune" myself?

So now that I placed my order, I hope I won't be sorry that I'm making this mod. Should I just go back to the original tune on the car? I have the x-cal 2 flash. Kind of like a point and click. Don't have to enter any data since you cant anyway.

Glenn

This is simply the best performance mod you can get besides a SC. It cut my et by nearly 0.7 second and O'boy can it burn the tires. IMO it has zero affect on driveablity if you have a shift tune. Go for it. :burnout:

What do you mean by a shift tune? I have a funny feeling I may have wasted my money on the x-cal.

Ed the tune is biggest thing you can do with the car the converter adds to it

Ed Tarras

So I need to send it back or can I use it the way it is?

Dennis Reinhart

You never have to send it back I can always send a updated file in your case it will not be needed

If the only mod you do to your MM is an XCal w/a tune it will be the best thing you could do. You won't be sorry.

Dennis how much would you say a Ford Dealer would install this for? The last tranny shop I took my '95 CV to that installed my J-Mod "goofed" up and I'll be damned if I take my MM to them.

Dennis is there some sort of a "breakin" with this? Or can I let her rip when I get it back?

I backed out of the tranny shop, straightened up and blasted down the block at WOT spinning tires most of the way. There is really nothing inside that needs to break in unlike a new set of gears that need 500 miles to get a wear pattern.

Been thinking hard about getting one myself. I have trouble swallowing the price but wanting one so bad weighs heavy on me at times. Does it really add 50 rear wheel horsepower without sacrificing driveability and gas mileage?

So why wasn't the stock TC on the MM that good? To keep costs lower? was it not high enough stall?

So if I got one mid-2007, would I have to get a tuner also?

sailsmen
03-01-2007, 01:52 PM
It does not add to rear wheel hp.

With a higher stall speed it allows the car to launch w/ the engine higher into the power band.

The TQ multiplier is higher than the OEM stall. Up to a .5 reduc in 1/4 ET.
