Hi Guys,
My windsheild wiper fluid is not coming out. I have put the car in the garage to defrost it but I have not heard of the fluid freezing before. I only use the blue fluid and do not mix it with water. It was empty when I got into the car (wife drives it and does not check these things:confused: ) and I went and bought some new fluid and filled the reservoir up. Nothing! Do you guys think it's possible I could have an air bubble in the line? I dont even hear the motor trying to pump it but the wipers go on and work. Any ideas on what I should check? Need some ideas from the experts on this site:beer: !
Thanks!

Check the fuses first, of course ;)
Then check the connection on the pump. For easy access remove the airbox, then unbolt the reservoir form the fender (two bolts)
It comes right out, you can also jump the pump with a 12v+ and ground to test whil you have it disconnected.

IMO air in the line should be no problem. When washer button is depressed any air should be pumped out almost instantly.
Can you hear the washer pump running? If so you may have a frozen line.

If you can't hear the pump running
1. Fuse is blown - replace fuse
2. Pump is disonnected - reconnect
3. Pump is bad - replace pump
4. Switch is bad - replace switch
Its 4 degrees here.
Its more than likely frozen, especially if you have the blue stuff.

Thanks Guys! I left the car in my dad's garage overnight (60F) and went back this morning to check on it. Tried it out and I heard the pump working and it started spraying again. It looks like maybe the water part of the solution settled out and when my wife used the last little bit it froze in the line. I am definetely going to put some different stuff in it so this wont happen again. Appreciate the comments and I am just glad I dont have to go to the dealer next week.:burnout:

Try using Rain-X ice melt fluid. Works well on light ice when its not real cold and makes scraping a lot easier when necessary.
