How much is the x plan price on a 300A? A local dealer is advertising their entire stock (including 3 dusty 300As) at x-plan pricing...and they'll still give you all the rebates. I was just curious how much that is. You don't expect me to actually go in and ask the salesman...do you??? :D
Another dealer is advertising a 300A with no miles, CD changer and trunk organizer for $27,500. That kind of pricing is pretty typical these days, right?
Thanks for any feedback.

Sounds about right. I got mine a month ago for $25,995 plus my '97 T-Bird w/145k mi. on it.

Mine was $26,500 with 23 miles. You in Dallas?

No...I'm in Ohio. Was that $26,500 the x plan price minus rebates?
Here's a link (http://www.autotrader.com/findacar/vdetail.jtmpl?car_id=113218310&dealer_id=69262&car_year=2003&make=MERC&distance=100&max_price=&model=MARAUDER&end_year=2003&advcd_on=n&min_price=&address=45322&search_type=used&advanced=n&start_year=2003&color=&cardist=73) to a new $27,500 Marauder in Columbus, Ohio.

It was X-plan and they kept all rebates & incentives. I believe it was $3000 rebate plus another $500 X-plan bonus. $1000 would cover an air ticket to Dallas and you could drive your new MM back. They had two more 300As sitting on the lot. Nice people, easy to deal with- Marauder experts? Not really but really did want to deal on these cars. The guy's name is Eugene Boze and his direct number is (214) 904-3314. Good Luck!

x-plan on a 300A is $32,119.15 minus $3,000.00 rebate. Your incentives are based on your Zip code (by region) If you let me know your Zip I can tell you exactly what it is! This x-plan is based on a $34,485.00 MSRP!

I bought mine on X-Plan. 'True' X-Plan purchasers may get all the rebates in effect on the date of purchase see below. I got the rebates. In my case, that brought the car down to about $100 more that invoice cost. The dealer still gets the holdbacks and inventory credits.
Here's what it says on www.fordpartner.com:
"X-Plan: Pre-determined price based on Ford Employee ("A-Plan") price. The X-Plan price is noted on the dealer invoice (except for Land Rover and Jaguar)
Ford/Mercury A-Plan + 4% + $150
Lincoln A-Plan + 4% + $250
Volvo A-Plan + 2%
Land Rover Invoice plus 4% of Invoice (excluding Regional Advertising Group fee and destination & delivery fee).
Jaguar Invoice plus 4% of Invoice (excluding Advertising Association Fee and destination & delivery fee).
For specific vehicle plan pricing, visit the Vehicles & Pricing page. Pricing of in-stock dealership inventory is available for Ford, Lincoln and Mercury dealerships. Detail pricing sheets are available for Volvo, Mazda, Jaguar and Land Rover. "
Mazda has their own version called S-Plan (employee price plus 3.5%).
Of course, there are conditions (from the web site):
The dealer is required to provide you with a true copy of the factory invoice showing the Partner Recognition Program price in the box labeled "X Plan"(not displayed for Land Rover or Jaguar, labeled as "S Plan" for Mazda). You should also receive a complete and signed New Vehicle Purchase Plan and Pricing Sheet showing each item and its price (form slightly different for Volvo and Mazda).
The dealership may NOT charge separately for document preparation or other administrative services incidental to the delivery of the vehicle. These expenses are considered to be part of the dealer's normal cost of doing business for which the dealership is compensated by the commission paid.
The dealership may charge any price negotiated between the dealer and the customer for undercoating, dealer installed options, extended service contracts and other items or services that add value to the vehicle, provided such items are priced separately and listed individually on the retail buyer's order and the New Vehicle Purchase Plan and Pricing Sheet.
Note: Partner Recognition customers may not accept items or services as an inducement or reward in connection with an "X Plan" sale or lease.
The customer is responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes, license and title fees.
The Ford Partner Recognition customer is entitled to X-Plan pricing on eligible vehicles in effect at the time the vehicle was invoiced. Any money refunded to the dealer by Ford Motor Company for price increases occurring after the order is submitted, but before shipment to the dealer, must be refunded to the customer. From time to time Ford Motor Company may offer incentives or rebates. Unless specifically approved and announced by the company, incentives or rebates are not available to New Vehicle Purchase Plan customers. Ask your dealer for details.
The dealership may require the Partner Recognition Program customer to make a deposit when placing a vehicle order. Some or all of this deposit may be retained by the dealership if the customer declines to accept delivery of the product ordered. An agreement in writing should be reached with the dealership concerning the amount of the deposit and the conditions under which it may be retained by the dealership if the transaction is not completed.
Lease transactions may require a refundable security deposit. The security deposit is held until the end of the lease and is refunded, provided that the lease terms have been satisfied. The deposit is usually equal to one month's payment, rounded to the next $25/$50.
* The X-Plan price is printed on the dealer's copy of the new vehicle invoice, which may be reviewed by the participant.
The dealer will show the customer a copy of the invoice to confirm pricing.
While the Partner web site tells you what's applicable and what's not, right now in the Midwest it lists $3.5K cash back through July 9.
Hope it helps.

Great info guys. I really appreciate it. Mark, your post confirms what the dealer ad says. They say that the x-plan price is printed right on the factory invoice.
It's starting to sound like x plan minus rebates may not be as great a deal as I first thought. If x plan is around $32K, how are dealers selling them for $26,500 - $27,500? That's like paying x plan minus 5 or 6 grand, right!?!?
marauderhombre, I'm over in Dayton (45322). If you see any interesting deals over in Indy, let me know. I'm still kicking tires at this point, but am getting closer to pulling the trigger! ;)

Hey, I sold you your Marauder, and I didn't get a $500.00 Flat commission! ...I wish! As a general rule most dealers in this area pay a flat $150.00 with some paying as little as $75.00 for A or X plan commissions!........ If you think I deserved more I'd appreciate it if you could talk my owners into a raise!!!!! Just kidding Mark, Most dealers believe that since there are no negotiations involved in this type of purchase, then we should not be compensated as a regular deal! Take care

Hey Tim! Hiya!
Well, I stand corrected. Obviously I misremembered what Tim told me, and I apologize if this screws up someone in their planning. I edited my post up above to clean out the goof.
I know I can't get Tim a raise, but I can do two things. I can give him all "excellents" in the post-sales survey (which I did) and I can say that dealing with Tom Hembree at Crossroads L-M in Indianapolis was THE BEST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!! (emphasis intentional, obviously). I highly recommend dealing with him, especailly for anyone who is going to send their MM to Kenny Brown up the street. He's a great guy.
