View Full Version : NTM Events Calender
To all NTM Members::)
There are several events involving Marauders that may be of interest to club members.
Feb 15 - Monthly meeting of the LSCC at Dallas Market Hall to set up for Autorama. Time: afternoon till evening
March 3 - Opening day at Pine Valley race track in Lufkin Texas, Mr. Jones, our resident member, invites any and all NTMs to join him for show and go and then burgers at Ray's. Last year six Marauders attended and wowed the crowed. Don't pay attention to the weather report, it's always wrong.
March 17 - Monthly LSCC meeting, 11 AM @ Crystals Pizza in Irving, Tex. Junction Hwy 183 (Airport Freeway) and MacArthur Blve. Dutch treat. Planning SVT events in Grapevine.April 14 - Spring Run out of Austin Texas, sponsored by Ford Bastards, see posts on this forum. A fun time and works our cars without punishing them.
A one day, free activity for both the driver and rider(s).
April 21 - Monthly meeting @ Sport City Toyota, 10 AM. April 28 - First SVT show of the season at Chuck's in Grapevine. Need maximum participation. I'm planning on winning one of these, even if it costs me $2,500.00. Oops! I put the decimal in the wrong place, $25.00.
As always, consult the LSCC homepage for other car activites in the North Texas area - WWW.mercurycougar.com (http://www.mercurycougar.com).

It's difficult to make weekday events so hte meetings out for me and March 3 is also the first points race of the season for Ardmore Raceway . It looking like with the Ardmore Raceway schedule and the CDRA schedule that I me not be able to participate in alot off the NTM events. I'll just keep my eyes open for off weekend event.

Mike;
:( I think it's been an unsually harsh winter in the DFW area and the members have all gone back into the cave, curled up, piled on the blankets and are waiting for a warm spring. Even my PM's are frozen somewhere over Terrell.
:down: My local strip, although open for several weeks, have cancelled many of the race days due to cold weather and rain.
:2thumbs: However, the good news is that we should have an early spring, or so the ground hog say's.
Keep the faith.

It's not been that bad around here. The PVR website is saying that all of March will be test n tune only. We did the first Sat last year so that we could combine the drag racing with our local cruise night. I've gotta say it was really cool seeing all 9 Marauders at the cruise night that evening.
Do we have any interest in the same type of event on Mar 3?

I want to be there for the March 3rd event....
Mr. Jones;
I'm planning on comming. So far it's Mike from San Antonio, me and you.
What about the other guy in Lufkin, Bobby AKA Racelegend, and the guy from Palenstine, Rick AKA Lastdaze04?
So many of our members haven't sent in their e-mail addresses, twenty people, and they don't seem to want to answer PM's. So........
Hopefully members will read the thread and come.

I sure would like to make this event, but I have a slot at the Fort Worth Rod and Custom Show for the Barracuda---can't afford to pass it up. I will also be at Dallas Autorama the week-end of Feb 17th--drop in for the show if you can. Hope to make all the Chucks shows. Hope the weather starts to give us some breaks. See you folks soon, Maury

As for March 3 If all goes well with my check up I will be there:beer: if not I won't be there.:(

OK Mr. Jones, we have heard from Lastdaze04, he sent me a PM with his email address so he can receive our periodic bulletins.
We now have four. Maury has previous committments, looking for Vortex, crzybiker, redster, rocknrod, rolling thunder, two hawks, younga1, 2003MIB, lasleye and 27 others. I'm meeting laughing gasser tomorrow so he can test my drive train. He's a tax man and works on weekends during the Jan-May time frame.
Although we may meet at a drag strip we don't have to race. We can show the cars, hang out and have a get together at Ray's burgers afterwards.
I will post directions in a email after consulting with Mr. J.

Pat, best I can say is maybe.
For those coming from the north, west or east the Pine Valley track is Ten miles south of Lufkin on Hwy 59 to FM 2497 turn right and go four miles.
For SID210SA, coming from the south on Hwy 59, go through the little town of Diboll (59 north) for two more miles, turn left on FM2497 and proceed for four more miles. There are race track advertising signs on Hwy 59.
Mike, be aware that all those little, back to back, townships on Hwy 59 north of Houston have their own LEO's and run radar traps. They are religious about their speed limits, 50 MPH to 35MPH, with changes on a dime. Word up.
Track opens at 10 AM and closes at dark. It will be a test and tune session.
Is that about right Mr. Jones?

The first event I will probably make will be the
first Chuck's on the 28th of April.
Hope be Trilogized and to see everyone then.
