SCT XCal2 is the greatest mod!

I don't know why I hesitated on this. Mr. Reinhart talked me into it, saying it was the best "bang for the buck" and was he ever right! :bows: A couple of minutes to flash the PCM and I have a new car. It has much more power (SOTP impression...) and will readily bark second. It launches much harder and will spin 'em from a standing start unlike before. And the higher end is terrific too- highway on ramps are a whole new experience now. I loved my Marauder before, but now I LOOOOVVVE it!:banana2:

Bottom line, if you are hesitating to get an XCal, go for it. If you only do one mod- this is it. If you have already done other mods, this is how you make them "come alive." :D

I hope this helped if you are thinking about what mod to do. I wish I had done this first. 'Nuf said.

I have my tune from Lidio.....cant wait to put it in the Marauder....I have had the tune for a week already.....I want my expectations to come to life!!!

IMHO the best mod and the first mod that should be purchased for any Ford is the SCT Pro Racer Package. I've sat down in front of the screen just looking through the settings for hours on end. It's more addictive than a MMORPG if you are interested in this kind of stuff.

I've heard two Claim's to the best single add on outside of the Supercharger. The tune and the 3000 stall converter. Who votes for which?

I vote tune, but have no experience with TC. Also there is a big price difference in the two mods.

My first ever mod was the Dennis tune, it was fantastic!!!! It propelled my otherwise bonestock MM. to a 14.49 quarter mile.:D

The FruitPunch was easily used (15K) but rightfully modded when she became mine. She only moved about 15 miles to get here. She had the DR tune, 4.10's, rear swaybar and FloMasters. Very nice package. I have no idea what the hunt and seek tranny groping is about, doesn't burn is first and second, doesn't go around corners, etc, etc. She came to me about 100% better than stock. I recommend all of the above and a bit MORE! :D Why wait. Hard to have fun after you are dead, at least I can't picture it from here. Dennis

I kicked myself for not purchasing a tuner sooner. Heh, I'm a poet. Really, if you never do anything else to the car, the tuner really improves the daily driving experience.

Hey Folks,

I don't know why I waited 20,000 miles to get the SCT tune... Dennis did it for me too. If you are going to do anything to a MM, get the tune along with a 4.10 gear, Denso plugs and cold stat. The end product is crazy! I now have 45,000 miles on the car (without any problems) and I get 22 mpg on the highway (I think the Pro Guard that DR installed has some merit). Stoplights are fun when you have some ricer or other type next to you thinking that they have a fast car. Blow them away if you feel like it. My MM gets sideways shifting from first to second under full throttle. Do the mod! Then enjoy what this car was meant to do on the street.

Metro is being a bit of a video game nerd. MMORPG is a term for a kind of a multiplayer video game. Anyway, the Pro Racer package is computer software that lets you write your own custom SCT tunes. Anyway, a good tune, whether it is SCT or Diablo tuner, is going to make a hell of a good difference!
