Alternate colors?

After seeing the bright red Marauder on eBay, I decided to make a poll to see what alternate colors would have been popular. I think the Marauder looks better in dark, classy colors, so those are the ones I chose. Vote away!

I'd be leaning towards the DHG but the other colors would definitely get consideration.

Dark Cherry Metallic (Chevy used to use this color on mid-70 Monte Carlos)

I always thought that Lime Gold metal flake with a white interior would look nice. Of course that combination would also need an 18" version of the Magnum 500 wheel.

I like the Gun Metal Metallic Gray that I have seen on the Ford GT and the Mustang.

Definitely the Charcoal Gray. The "dark titanium" used on Lincolns in the late 80's/early 90's is a good one, as is the almost pearl-looking dark gray that BMW and Audi had versions of a few years back. A dark blue would also be nice...my personal fave is "Black Sapphire Metallic", an early 90's Cadillac color.

I think the following would have been good Marauder colors..

Dark Shadow Gray (Lightning and HD truck color)
Zinc Yellow (2000 Cougar color, not as "bright" as Chrome yellow)
Sonic Blue
Azure Blue (Mach1 color)
Redfire Red (new Mustang color, a little brighter than DTR)

I also think the reddish burgandy color used on the ealry 90s Mark 7 would have been a kick ass MM color.

I bought Black, but only because Ford didn't offer a darker color. The poll should have had a "none of the above".

Joe Walsh posted a photo of Dark Charcoal on an MM, on the bright Marauder thread and I thought "Yep, that would have been cool"
I think some of you are referring to Dark Mineral Grey they put on 2000 Mustang GT's and '03 Aviators, among others, and we had both in that color, liking it very much. When it came time to replace the Mineral Grey Aviator with an '05, Dark Charcoal Metalic was the choice. Agreeing with many of you, I think it would have been a terriffic color on the MM. .....with Dark Charcoal seating, of course. :D

Yeah i remember that pic. It was someones that came to one of there meets or something like that.Can't seem to find the pics here..

I purchased my marauder on an overcast day and Black is beautiful with the silver/chrome highlights; however, in the California summer the flint interior and black exterior is too much heat! So I try to park under the tree at work with a car cover for the morning and evening sun. And of course the bird droppings!

For my area a white with blue stripes is great as long as the cops are not following you! The black is great in the early morning as they look at the brighter cars!!!! Even though I have been followed numerous times by officers who finally became tired. I hope my luck keeps up.<o:p></o:p>

Deep Wedgewood Blue
Charcoal Gray Metallic

i like both of these colors. i am a little partial to the deep wedgewood blue though, don't know why. :D
