Don't mean to beat the hell out of a dead horse, but I've read through several old posts. but with that said I'm receiving my widened wheels back tomorrow. Now I drive my car from April to no later than November, and with a couple of road trips to North Carolina. Do you guys think I'll have any problems running the 305's or should I go with the 295? In my heart I know I want the 305's, but these will be the only tires I'll run because I don't have the luxury of switching back and forth. Thanks again guys.

I have the widened rims and used the 305s on the street -- too sticky for me. I put the 295s on the rims and they work and look great. Then I bought 10 x 18 blemished Mustang Bullitt rims for $90 to mount my DRs.

If you have to pick one over the other for daily driving, go with the 295s. Drag radials are nice if you can switch back and forth for the proper conditions but I wouldn't drive on them on wet pavement or when it's cool outside.

I've got the 295's as well. They are great. Look like they should have been there from the git-go.

Follow your heart. I have the 305's.

I've only been in the rain 3 times ever with my Marauder.

I'm still alive.

Jabo, Even if you never drive in the rain the sticky 305 will be picking up all that trash in your New York streets and pummeling the underside of your Marauder and perhaps causing punctures. The 305's are great at the drag strip but they are not designed to be a street tire tho lots of guys run them on the street. My 295's are superb. I got mine from DiscountTiresDirect.com one would not roadforce balance within specs and they replaced it immediately, no questions. :2thumbs: Dennis
