I'm distressed to read about all the Marauder crashes reported on this site in the past six months. Today I learned that two local Marauders were totaled in seperate and unrelated crashes in my Parish. Both were Black 03 300A's.

The first was the City Marshall, the car was wrapped around a tree. Don't know it he or someone else was driving or if anyone was hurt.

The second was a citizen who experienced a rear tire blow out, car swerved, he lost control and crashed into the embankment. No Traction Control.

In my small city that's got to be 20% of the Marauder population.

The Marshall has replaced his with another one, so I'm told. The citizen wanted to sell me his spare tire and wheel.

I'm a traction contol fan now, unless I'm on the track.

I wonder how many Marauders are still around. It seems that too many are being destroyed

I am not so sure that Traction Control would have made any difference it this case. Speed and road conditions play a major part. It may have helped a little; but it can't overcome the laws of physics. JMHO.

Last Sunday at the Chicago meet we were discussing the same question. Our guess was that about 7000 or so Marauders may only be left between the ones that have been totaled and the ones that have been stolen. :(

I don't think so, The citizen stopped to relate his sad story while I was pumping gas. He had the spare in the back of his pick up. I imagine the car is salvaged somewhere, even he didn't know.

Sorry.

Ahh well. They'll end up on a GM somewhere with a vinyl roof and fuzzy dice.

It is sad indeed...but does that mean with the rarity that our cars already had plus they are getting more rare month by month...will they still continue to slide in resale or go up now....not that it matters as I will not sell mine.... but just curious...

Oh, no. They are most assuredly cursed. That is what makes them so much fun!
