Help!

I took a rubbing compound to remove a small scratch from my MM. It is black. Now, the shine is gone in that spot. How can a fix it?

Now you've done it...

Was is a rubbing compound, as you state, or a polishing compound?...if it was the former, you may have rubbed the clearcoat right off...if not, it may have simply been too coarse an abrasive and using something finer may restore the shine, but be advised that it may leave an already thin coat even thinner in that area...perhaps a good cleaner/wax may help...

Whatever you get, be sure it states "safe for clearcoat", or words to that effect...and if you do manage to restore the shine, keeping that area properly waxed will be important...use a non-abrasive polish, such as Zaino, to keep from making that area worse...
