OK,
In order to set in stone the plans for tours, dinner, etc. I am in need of an exact count of people that will be here and when.

Please, if you are coming to Kentucky, post yourself + significant other, children, etc.

It will also benefit me in knowing what day you are to arrive and estimated time of your arrival.

We are planning lunch and dinner for Friday, as well as Saturday.

For example,…

MM2004 + 0 – Arriving Friday morning ~9:00AM
Lunch and Dinner Friday.
All Day Saturday - Cave, Lunch, Corvette Museum and Dinner.

I made a mistake by not letting the poll run longer in the other thread, and have seen others express an interest in attending, but could not vote in the poll.

Hotel Info:

I have 22 rooms blocked (March 22nd - March 25) for the Hampton Inn located here->

750 Flint Ridge Road, Horse Cave, Kentucky, United States 42749
Tel: +1-270-786-5000

http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/hotels/index.jhtml;jsessionid=CC3MQJ0 TUWYOCCSGBIV222QKIYFC5UUC?ctyh ocn=HCVKYHX (http://hamptoninn.hilton.com/en/hp/hotels/index.jhtml;jsessionid=CC3MQJ0 TUWYOCCSGBIV222QKIYFC5UUC?ctyh ocn=HCVKYHX)

The rates are as follows:

Two Double Bed = $71.10 + tax. – 13 rooms reserved
Single King = $80.00 + tax – 9 rooms reserved (4 regular, 2 study and 3 smoking)

Due to limited King beds, I ask that if you travel alone, please reserve the 'Two Double Bed' rooms for yourself.

The confirmation number for the group name "Marauder" is - 81996709

I will be closing the other thread as to reduce confusion with 2 threads running together.

http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=32920&highlight=2nd+annual

Everyone MUST post in this thread to ensure they will be included in the planning of festivities.

Let's Roll!!! :burnout:

Thanks!
Mike.

Me arriving on Thursday ~ noon, in KB #8; perhaps with Leadfoot John in convoy, from the Cincinnati beltway, at US 50 East. I've reserved one of the rooms with two beds, but would exchange for a king, depending upon the needs of others.

Please sign me up for all activities, even the secret ones that require a special password/handshake.

Also I'd like dibs on a seat at any cool card/table games Gary and Gail happen to bring along. :D

Gail say's she's bringing LCR the dice game that Barry(cruztaker) cleaned up on,and CATCH PHRASE'S for sure . She's trying to think of another great group game to bring?
Any of those of you who are reading this should really take a chance in coming down for the Kentucky Run. Folk's there is no pressure to do or be, just enjoy the group, to the level of your own enjoyment!

I just found this thread.

I have a lot of planning to do here yet. Cattle, pets (dogs, cats, fish) taxes, all will need to handled first. I also just recieved a jury summons, but don't know when I'll be needed for that.

Expedia.com lists the trip at 10.5 hours! Any long distance awards?:D

As it is now, plan on me (1) , probably Friday morning, museum tour, cave tour, and every meal.

I have several limestone caves in my area. Anyone planning on this should probably bring a light jacket. They usually run a cool 50 degrees year 'round.

I'm not big on cards. Any chess players going? I've got room in the Marauder for my chess board!

My understanding about the Hotel... is that it is right off of 65....is that correct?

KillJoy

Negitive Stevo. As soon as you get off of 65 make a right go three miles make another right go two miles. Then make a third right and go another three miles as you come to the highway make a left and proceed until you see a sign that says; "Welcome to Ohio" and then your almost there.

My mapping shows it's two tenths of a mile off of Rte 65 (KY-218 exit - Exit 58)

In Munfordville, http://www.el-mazatlan.com/Normal_Print.htm Mexican, 6.8 miles north of the hotel

Cave City is about 6 miles SW and a number of choices. Most local establishments don't seem to have websites. If we're already scheduled for BBQ or steakhouses, I'd rather do something different....Mexican, Italian....don't seem to be any Indian restaurants in the area!!

Worlds largest six pack. La Crosse Wisconsin. These tanks hold 688,200 barrels of beer. It's enough to fill 7,340,796 cans. Placed end to end these cans would run 565 miles. That's enough to supply a person a six pack a day for 3,351 years. I used to live a block away from these.

A routing question: From Cincinnati, taking 71 South, do I stay on 71 and go to Looseville, or take 75 to Lexington? Distance wise, it looks like a wash, but I don't see a beltway around Lexington.

Can anyone help?

Personally, I'd come down I-71S to I-65S, through Louisville.

Mary, looks like I'll be coming down Thursday night after all. Include me in the assembly line tour.

NO!

Cut across the Gene Snyder Freeway (I-265 South) from I-71 South if you go that way from Cinci.

The pick up I-65 South from the Freeway.

This will keep you away from downtown Louisville.

Mike.

Yeah, that looks the best to me also. I'm sure you mean the Loosville route instead of Lexington. I'll pick up the Gene Snyder from I-71 and rush on down to Horse Cave.

Um, I expect to be there for lunch ~noon, Thursday, once I get the cobwebs blown out of 'OL KB #8. Drive that sumb!ch like you stole it, right dog-breath?

Dogbreath = Dan, Zack, Steve, just insert your favorite person.

Damn, this is gonna be fun. :woohoo:

Everyone I want to apologise to my very best and esteemed friend Gordon, and affirm what a fine fellow he, himself is.

Um, so, is the KB #8 all cleaned up, or shall I pick her up tomorrow and put on the final touches. Of course I'll stand the fuel costs. :D

We're all set for a tour at 11:30am. They'll have to break us up into two groups because of our numbers. If a few are added or dropped, they'll accommodate. If there's a major change in numbers, I'll have to call them.

Seriously, I am sure it will be casual given the fact that it is Bowling Green.

Holy crap!

I had to borrow a tie from my son for his little brother's confirmation. My daily work attire is jeans. I haven't worn anything dressier than business casual in I don't know how many years. Geez, if I come close to embarassing this club someone say something and I'll eat out in the car...I mean in the parking lot, I don't want to mess up the leather seats ya know.
