Man what a shabby stereo install, gotta love when your sub box takes up the ENTIRE trunk, and you take a hole saw to your door panels. *sigh*

Check out the temperature - car in the snow with a guage pegged on "danger". This car needs to be restored back to the original and never be seen in public. What the hell is wrong with people????

Good catch! The engine is over heating even with snow on the ground. That is the number one reason why I will never buy a car from a wanna be gangster/ or wanna be pimp.
They will spend 10 times the price of the car making it what they call pimp (which entails a paint color not offered as OEM by any manufacturer EVER, adding rims so big that they hurt the performance of the car by at least a factor of 5, and enough bass to be heard from at least three "corner" stores in the projects at the same time) while not paying a cent or a moment to maintain the engine, transmission, etc.
What losers!!!
I propose that we start a poll attempting to guess "how many crack rocks were sold to ruin that Marauder."

Good eye. I asked the seller the same question. We'll see if he replies.

That's good start... Now he just needs to get rid of those itty bitty wheels and tires and step up to some 28" rims and a 14" suspension lift.
A plasma screen TV in the trunk and Playstation 2's W/monitors in the headrests would finish it off nicely.
I wonder if this Marauder comes with a special edition Lavendar Pimp suit, matching fedora, and Zircon encrusted walking cane? (ya gotta have a good cane for smackin hoes 'round!)

Man, I'm diggin that EQ. But, what.........the........hell.. ......color is that. If ONLY that guy knew what a rare item he HAD in his possesion.
I think the ex-owner should sit down with Dr. Phil and tell him why he did this. :depress: Hopefully Dr. Phil well be able to help them so then NEVER do something this stupid again! :shake:

I was looking at the red one again last night, after the auction was over and it didn't meet reserve. I am a fan of the bright red color, but I think that car would've looked much better with a black grill, and the B-pillar bars painted black.

Fellas,
It is just a car. Abeit badly done audio install, horrible color, and poorly maintained engine bay, this car that color, and that stero was that cat's vision. There is no need to inply that this owner was trying to be a pimp or a gangster. If that is the case, everyone riding 20+ wheels on their vehicles (from the Dealerships mind you) are attempting this way of life. Maybe, just maybe, this cat wanted to be different, wanted to be a stand out. Lets celebrate the fact that he stood against the "status quo" cut against the grain, and dared to be different. I changed my wheels and added the rear spoiler because I wanted to be different. I myself am a bass head...can't get enough of it, but there is a time and a place for it. And as for as this guy "selling crack to ruin a Marauder" that was totally out of place. You make the implication that chaging a car's appearance in such a way such as adding big wheels and and a one off color implies that the owner is involved in some sort of illegal activity. That is a horrible fallacy and honestly you should really take a introspective look at yourself and how you view those around you. Off my box.
Good catch! The engine is over heating even with snow on the ground. That is the number one reason why I will never buy a car from a wanna be gangster/ or wanna be pimp.

That is very true Big house, and as to someone saying people modifying cars like this for solely the appearance, and do not mind the cars performance, or maintenance that is not always the case. I remember when I took my Lincoln for my trans to be rebuilt 2 years ago, The shop had a couple of Caprices with 24''+ wheels being worked on in the bays. The shop owner said they were cousins from chicago who were getting transmission, suspension, and brake upgrades because they didnt want to ruin their cars. So the "gangsters", and "pimps" are not all that stupid.

That is very true, Big House !
It is at least obvious that the previous owner is willing to stand against the crowd, which is not a drawback. Also, it is all a matter of taste.
However, it does not prevent us to make a link between the person and the image that he/she wants to project. And in the very case of that green Marauder...

To me, when one does all of these things to a car (Color not found on any OEM application, wheels so big they can be considered dangerous, and hacking up a sound system like that) projects an image of a gangster or pimp. Whether they are truly braking the law I don't know.
Did I say that they don't have the "right under the law" to do such things to a car? No.
While you may not want to believe it, you make judgments about people everyday. While you might not be expressing it publicly, the way one dresses and acts sends a message to those around them. Sure, one should not judge a book by its cover but the cover projects a message nevertheless.
I am a business owner (I own retail stores and a service company). It seems to me that people got so caught up in the fact that they "have the right to dress and talk however they want", that they think that the world is going to adapt around them.
Everyday, I have people come to me asking for jobs while wearing pants/ shorts so baggy and low that they seem as if they are going to fall down and/or gold chains so thick and long that if real can be sold for a sum larger than I earn the whole year and talking like they are from the streets.
Mind you, the clothes are not cheap or old but are you telling me that you EVER applied for a job wearing your clothes like that? How about talking to the Manager/ Owner with sentences full of slang? I, for one, would be embarrassed to apply for a job like that.

Nothing is ALWAYS the case and I never said it was. In my experience it has been the case more often then not. Again, I didn't say that he doesn't have a right to due it, just that I will never buy a car from someone who projects that type of image.
That is very true, Big House !

It sucks that this bs is already happening I was hoping that it would be a few more years before people started "pimpin" the marauders. I really hope these are few and far between and we dont wind up being the "pimpalas" of tomorrow. Its really a shame what these folks do to older impalas and caprices. Good thing Marauder production was much more limited. Hopefully, most marauders will stay with their original owners... the level-headed folks that purchased a beautiful muscle car, not a potential pimp-mobile

You Sir have earned a five minute timeout for saying that car is pimped out and while you are there please "take a introspective look at yourself and how you view those around you-Big House."

That aquamarine color was pretty popular in 1956-1957. Think it came as a 2-tone, Aqua/White on the Chevy Biscayne. Of course, over the years we've had Harvest Gold and Avocado Refrigerators and Stoves. Things change. :D
