I saw this on the local news last night. Its a web site that allows you to insert a persons tag# on the web in case they are driving wreckless or dangerous. You can even put in a few comments or warnings about the driver.
Some Police Departments are even reviewing the website and taking down a list of peoples tags to watch out for in their areas.
What do you feel on the issue of Invasion Of Privacy.Having your tag info displayed all over the internet, especially now a days when scam artists are lurking around more and more these days.
Would you be ticked off if you found out that your tag was on the internet without your knowledge where anyone can look at it?
Here is the link of the local news story and then the link for the website

Privacy? How about fraud?! What if I wanted to pick on StevenJ and post bogus info about him and then the cops are watching him and he gets a ticket?! That's a bunch of crap!
Smoke someone on a street race and they get to set you up cuz they're pissed?!
Ex wife wants revenge?!
In general, people can't be trusted. There's too much room for BS. The site might be fine on it's own, but when the cops start taking potentially bogus info to operate from, I draw the line!!!!

The only thing that sucked was the fact his windows were so darkly tinted, I couldn't get the full affect.... The next thing I have to do is to run into him with my car so we can meet!!! I love him already!!!!"

You dont evan have to have tail lites in Alabama...or doors ...or a muffler...or emmissions testing or...Tinted plate er I mean tag covers are way below the radar....You didnt even have to have a title til 1975...

Heck, y'all don't even need ta have a CAR!
Actually, in many places those tag covers (even clear ones) are illegal as they will help foil the stoplight and/or radar cameras.
Gotta keep the revenue up!

I have been driving "Wreckless" for nearly 40 years and I hope to continue that record. :D
Seems to me that alot of the posts on that site are from the "Oh Me - Oh My" crowd. I wouldn't get to excited about this ... most I really couldn't take too seriously. Now if a plate showed up on that list ... say 3, 5, or 10 times by a bunch of different posters then that would indicate a problem driver.
As far as my plate showing up on the internet .... I can't figure out the big deal .... heck I estimate some 10,000 folks see it sitting in traffic every day.
BTW -- I wasn't on the list ..... even with a "WINK". ;)

:loco:Thats Foul. This is like crossing MYSpace and the DMV.....Now leave it in the hands of little girls like the one listed above and it will be the next biggest chat board right next to MySpace or AOL.

The red shift makes the plates unreadable anyway.

I would consider it an honor to have my plate listed....any recognition is better than none at all.

Your plate and registration are public information.
I have obtained the owners name and address from the DMV w/ the plate numbers.
