Had a fast moving storm system, 55-70 MPH, pass through Bossier yesterday which spawned an F1 tornado. A few light business structures were ripped up after which the twister slammed into Carriage Oaks subdivision tearing off parts of roofs, tossing outdoor metal sheds about and snapping trees.

One of our members, Jim Spralding's (Laughing Gasser) home took a hit. Don't think it was too serious. Power is out over there and police have the area sealed. Only minor injuries were reported. I'll give an update later on.

Glad to hear you are ok Pat; believe that same storm system is headed our way in NE FL.

Glad to hear you are ok. I'll take the 5+ feet of snow we have on the ground.

Pat:
Glad to hear you, Patricia, and that beautiful MM were spared!
All we got around here was 55 mph gusts blowing half of West
Texas into the DFW area and dropping some power lines to the
ground in several locations.

Jim, the Laughing Gasser, wrote me that his homestead only suffered a few torn off shingles on the main house and a partly damaged fence in the backyard. His Marauder was in the shop at the time. All will be OK.

One street over several homes were severly damaged. The next day dawned clear and bright. The city services were very responsive and helpful. The Sheriff emptied the jail so the prisoners could help put tarps over the open roofs (its a volunteer, community thing).

The Red cross, police, fire dept were all on scene and in control within one hour.

I'm very proud of my little city.

Pat,

Glad to hear you and the rest of the area made out ok. It sounds like your first responders are on the ball.
