This poll is limited to un modded, tuned, and tuned with gears.
I am wondering what your miles per tank is....I usually get right around 300 miles per tank but just go a Xcal 2 tune and was wondering if it would raise or drop....and if you have more than one Marauder you can vote multiple times....

There wasn't a category for me, so I didn't vote. But, a bone stock '04 on the interstate, fill up to fill up with a pro-guard and cruise control ~70mph got 400 mi per tank, on three occasions.

If I do a lot of highway driving, I can squeeze out just over 300 miles to the tank full, My normal city driving puts my at just over 250.
My car is tuned with gears, pulleys, intake, and a convertor.

My car is no longer a daily driver so its nice to fill up and have it last almost 2 months.

For a New York car I guess 250 miles isn't bad I guess. That's still uh, about 14mpg. Not to make light of course. You can get a lot better than that. I got 18.6 mpg on my last tank with 50/50 city highway driving. The trick is to keep rpms under 3500 rpm and keep a steady 65-70 mph on the highway. Drive as constant speed as possible. This was with some aggressive driving btw. I have 4.10s, Proguard, Cobra exhaust, K&N CAI intake, Reinhart 4.10 tune, and under drive pullies. Yeah if I was doing 95 plus on the highway and pushing it to the limit, then 14 mpg would be ok. I still wonder, how much of a difference does the higher stall torque convertor really make?

Damn, something must be wrong with my car then. At full, I'm lucky if I see 200-230. All I have is a tune, plugs, intake and mufflers. Hmm?

Easy driving (mostly long island street, and some highway) 20.4

Around town, I average 17-18 mpg (about 289-306 miles based on 17 gallons useable). Highway mileage is 24.5 mpg (or 416 miles using the same 17 gallons). To be honest though, my MM rarely sees the needle fall below 1/4. :D

I usually get about 270 and thats 80% city 20% highway driving. I fill up when I get between 1/4 and 1/8 of a tank.

I'm tuned and usually see 300-320 on mixed city and 420 430 on highway.

With a tune and gears, I'm right on the border averaging 290-310 miles (with my typical miced driving that's 45/55 city/highway). I choose 301-350, since more times than not I'm in that neck of the woods, and when I do more highway drive the results go up...

OK, this poll has a lot to be desired...

I have 69,000 miles on my Marauder.

With the STOCK tune I get 18 - 20 MPG in everyday driving.
I get about 24-25MPG in highway driving.

With Lidio's 3.55 tune, I get 16 - 18 around town,
and I get a solid 26 MPG on all highway when doing 65MPH+.

So depending on how I drive, I can get anywhere from
300 to 400+ miles on a full tank.
There are no responses for this...

My girl has a CAI and aftermarket mufflers, a tune is on the way. I do mostly 90% city driving and NEVER stand on it. Why am I getting barely 230 per tank?

Likewise. I think my filter is far too dirty hence the bad gas mileage. The salt we've had so far is doing a number on my engine bay. I should probably clean it.

City Driving = Carbon build up.
Try taking it on a longer trip and open it up a bit. Its a high performance engine that likes to be driven hard every so often to clean it out.

I usually get 280 out of my tank, with a lot of short trips and I am always the guy who takes off the fastest from a red light or stop sign....I dont get hard on it but usually when I get on the highway I stomp on it to "clean out the fuel injectors". On a recent trip to Corpus I had just installed my tune a week earlier, drove there stayed for about an hour and a 1/2 and drove straigt back and got about 360 miles on that tank. I also have the JLT and Proguard, but thats it.

I voted tune w/gears 251-300. I could prolly go over 300 but I refill at about 16 gallons (3 remaining)

My TC is UNLOCKED through 3rd and always locked in 4th. Town driving yeilds crappy gas mileage but enormous grin mileage!!!!!

Tuned, best 460 only got 17.xx gals in at fill up. Always 430 - 440 on trip to south (my house to first or second VA exit). City/playing 300 to 350.

Yeah same here, any special way to clean a JLT filter or just do the K&N method?

I'm quite sure, it's a trip I make at least twice a year. It just takes a little discipline i guess. Can't see much reason for going more than 72 mph when I'm getting paid by the hour. 72 seems to be the magic number. 27.5 to 28.5 mpg when you can hold this speed on flatlands. 28 mpg times 16 gallons equals 448. Even with a little playing, I can still make VA on the first tank. more.....

I've got a tune, plugs and stat with the 3.55 gears. I filled up in Julesburg, CO and drove clear across Nebraska and filled up in Council Bluffs, IA after a run of 80 M.P.H. with the A/C on I got 26 M.P.G.

I think a lot depends on what type of driving you do. My driving is nearly 100 percent city driving in heavy traffic. And, I don't spare the horses. ;)

When I worked for Ford, we used to sell a procedure that cleaned the carbon out of the intake manifold, the techs used a spray and a small wire brush, any thoughts doing this to ours ( mine ) ?

I dont mean to sound so skeptical or doubtful....I am just jealous I guess....I dont consider my self a hard driver but I guess I am a harder driver than I thought if I get that much less milage...but then again I have never been able to put more than 17.6 gal in my car and it is supposed to be a 19 gal tank....and I routinely run it to the gas light and beyond....at least 25 to 30 miles after it comes on...I also thought that my Marauder was slower than everone elses stock...I ran a 15.6 at the track stock and in the time slip data base I am near the botom. But I guess the 15.6 is in the norm...I still think its slow even with the tune but I will find that out this weekend in Lufkin.

It's all down hill, bet milage goes down on the way back up:rolleyes:
I fill up at about 280 miles takes about 12 gal, don't let it get empty never know when I might need to get somewhere in a hurry.

I am amazed at these results!
I don't fit the criteria, but I fill up at the 290-300 mark around here and still have 3 gallons left!
Low fuel light comes on at 16 gallons out, use to be 15 until they put the new pump in due to the 10 gallons of water in my tank.
On the highway it's even better.
And my car is not stock.

My gas MPG sucks. Stock was 275-300 till the gas light came on. Now its around 240-250. All I did was put in 3.73's (tiny change) and a DR tune.

I know its not "gofast" issues because I've used a few tanks showing homes and believe me I drive grandma like.

I do a lot of city driving and get about 280 per tank usually. Highway only mileage is still not usually over 22 mpg. It is certainly not a fuel efficient car. One of the magazines got 16-18 mpg with it mixed driving. I believe it. My 2003 Acura TL type S was as fast or faster and got about 4-6 mpg better, especially city. Oh well. It's a big tank.
