Guys, I'm about to go for another run of Royal Purple. I do this about once every 6 months.
I can offer any of their street oils (5W20, 5W30, 10W30, etc.) for $70 per case (12 quarts) with shipping included. That works out to a little less than $6 with tax included. This is probably a lot less than you'd pay for it locally.
If you're interested, please let me know ASAP as I'm going to make a Royal Purple run in about a week or two.
I will need payment up front.
Thanks,
Todd.

Disregard guys. I think I innocently violated some website rule related to advertising or whatever.
After all of the costs associated with me picking up the oil and shipping it, I wouldn't be making any profit on this stuff. I just figured I'd pass along a good deal on an otherwise ridiculously expensive synthetic oil, but I should've checked first before posting.

I don't see a violation. That sounds like a good deal but I'm sure a hassle for you.

Okay, cool. Thanks Mary for the clarification. I didn't want to step on any toes.
I checked with my local UPS store on the shipping and they said there aren't any special restrictions or fees, so we're good. My shipping estimate was right on the money, too.
So, if you want some Royal Purple, please send the money via PayPal to toddlehn@yahoo.com and indicate in the message field specifically which viscocity you want and how many cases of each. Remember, this is for the street oils only - not the racing oils.
The cost, including shipping anywhere in the continental United States, is $70 per case of 12 quarts. I will not ship elsewhere. Sorry. :(
Thanks,
Todd

:) Im not trying to step on any toes or make anyone mad but I know that not everybody likes all the same stuff so that being said there is a guy here in Lufkin that sell AMS Oil for a dang good deal as it is and maybe if we got together we could get reasonable group discounted rates since hes a dealer and does regularly ship this oil nation wide if any question pm me.
PM sent for a case of 5w20 and a case of 10w30!!

Napa Auto Parts also sells 5 gallon containers of royal purple for $159.00 They will not ship it but you can call your local store and pick it up there after they order it for you. Last time I got it the price was $130.00 for 5 gallons so the price is going up a bit. Their part # for this 5 gallon container is RPO05520

Assuming tax of 6.5%, that comes out to about $8.50 a quart.
I guess my offer isn't so bad after all, eh?

You're welcome, my friend.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to make this same offer again. It ultimately turned out that I lost some money on the deal. Shipping & PayPal fees turned out to be more expensive than I realized. Next time I'd have to get $80 per case to make sure I don't lose any money, but at that point it gets cost-prohibitive for most folks and the "bargain" isn't such a bargain anymore.
Oh well....no biggie. I was happy to help y'all out. :)

Wow. I'm sorry I missed this. How did you get Royal Purple so cheap, if you don't mind me asking.

Brother-in-law style connections, my friend.
(Hint: I live about 25 miles from Royal Purple's world headquarters.)
That site seems to be one of the bigger (and cheaper) Royal Purple sellers out there. I've never checked their prices - never had the need! - but they seem pretty good. They have it listed at $79.99/case + $8.99 handling fee. *shrug*

You're welcome fellas. I was happy to get it for y'all.
If I haven't left trader feedback for you yet, please let me know. I've tried to do it for everyone, but it cut me off after I did a few and told me I couldn't leave any more feedback today.
Thanks again.

Not flaming you or anything, but how does $7.99 per quart plus tax equal $90? A case of 12 quarts?
It'd be $95.88 plus tax, or closer to $102.11 at a 6.5% tax rate.
*scratching my head*
BTW, next time you need some, get in touch with me and I'll have it delivered to your doorstep for less.

Hey, thanks for the help, though. Even if you can ship a case to SoCal at $80, it'd be worth it.
I was so impressed with the oil in my old Firebird that I am going to get some 5w20 for my Ranger next.

Here's what I worte of it on another board, since I';d never used it before:
HOLY ******ING S**T!http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/images/smilies/hyper.gif http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/graemlins2/hsughr.gif http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/graemlins2/eek3.gif
What a huge difference! I have been using mostly dino oil the last 7-8 years I've had the car and just changing it when it gets black (~2000 miles). I've also tried Mobil 1 a few times and didn't notice anything different.
I've also tried Marvel Mystery Oil to quiet the lifters, which always helped a little, and even Lucas Oil Stabilizer a few years ago, which didn't do anything but make the oil pressure drop to almost zero when I stepped on the gas. http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/images/smilies/blah.gif
This is my tired old L03 with about 200K.http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/graemlins2/headbang.gif
I drove it around the block a couple of times and it got real quiet. All the ticking lifters finally shut up after 5+ years of sounding like a bomb. I can't hear them at all and almost burned my face trying to hear them ticking again.http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/images/smilies/eyebrow.gif
The throttle response is just a little quicker, but a whole lot smoother. The whole engine runs and idles effortlessly now. The tachometer stays perfectly still at idle for the first time in years. The oil pressure gage has finally made up it's mind, too. I thought for sure the oil pump was on it's way out.
No blow by at all. Zero. There really wasn't too much before, but now there is none at all so far.http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/graemlins2/headbang.gif
The engine temperature stayed just over 100 while I was driving it, when it's usually just below the 200 mark, and when I was at idle, it never even got hot enough for the fan to kick in. It usually only takes about 2 minutes at idle for the temp to rise enough to turn the fan on (about 220), but now it looks like it will take 10-12 minutes for it to ever get that hot.
I drove it through a drive-thru where there are walls on both sides of the car (they do that so you can't drive off if they take too long, bastardshttp://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/graemlins2/madfawk.gif ) where I can usually hear all the weird noises the car makes, and they are almost all gone. Just the mellow rumble of the engine. http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/graemlins2/cool.gif http://www.nethirdgen.org/forum/images/smilies/bravo.gif
The oil is actually purple when it comes out of the bottle and looks like grape kool-ade, but it doesn't taste like it at all.It was nearly crystal clear on the dipstick, with only the slightest tint of purple. I got 10W40 since it's getting hotter and the engine is so old.
I don't see any leaks yet, but it's only been about 10 miles. The old seals may leak with full synthetic, but it never did with the mobil 1. I am usually 1/2 a queart down every 2000 miles or so when I change it. I'm curious how much of the purp it will burn off.
$7 per quart had me pissed off to the point that I had put off trying it for several months, but it's worth it.</X>
