This ad says it's a 2003 with a moonroof, I didn't think you could get them in 2003.
Also, the ad says something about how the aftermarket wheels don't come with it, when they look like stock wheels to me.

If it's a 2003, its a 300B w/ moonroof added. Otherwise it's a 2004. And what is that about the aftermarket wheels? If they don't know those are the stock wheels then they are likely not to know whether it is a 2003 or 2004.

It has the black painted valve covers--that marks it as a 2003, doesn't it? Also, if you look at the enlarged pic of the moonroof, the headliner looks almost "fuzzy"...I'd say aftermarket moonroof. But maybe some of the '04 guys with moonroofs can come in and say if it looks factory or not. If those aren't stock wheels, they're reproductions...b/c they're definitely the stock style...

Black Valve covers, no clock in dash and a moonroof is a 300b. Im curious why there arent any pics of the drivers side of the car?

I am pretty sure that is an aftermarket moonroof....the console in the front is different, and I dont have dome light right behind it...I have two...one in the front and one in the back not in the middle....and my Moonroof has a rubber seal/liner around the opening on the inside...I will get you a picture as soon as my batteries charge.

It has black valve covers which makes it an '03 as stated above

Yep, I'd call it an an '03B. There's no dash clock, map pockets, or switch for traction control, which would have been the case if it were an '04. :twocents:

If you look at the back of the overhead console you can make out what looks like the control panel for the sunroof. I have seen another one like this before i think it is a kit by asc

actually no panther comes with the 'factory' sunroof/moonroof.
MMs with moonroofs get shipped with a VIN 2MHHM vs 2MEHM the "H" is for 'incomplete vehicle', and the car is taken to Crown American, where ASC will install it.
But thats a 03 300B right there

Thank you gentlemen. I was so tired last night when I saw that ad that I couldn't think straight.
Today, I checked the VIN and it does come back as an 03, so it probably is an aftermarket. I really want one with a sunroof since the weather is always so nice in Palm Springs.
I almost got one back in December, but quit my job instead. My new job is much better so I've started looking again.
I was hoping to find one with lower miles, but I really don't drive very far with my new job. I may make the drive to look at that one tomorrow and see if they will take 15 for it.
I still don't know what's up with the wheels they are taling about. I like the stock ones. Maybe they are just advertising that they sell aftermarket wheels.

According to the vin # it is a Jan. 2003 build.

Looking factory and being factory are different sides of the fence. Moonroofs were ONLY available on later 2004's. The headliner is unique and the overhead console is out of a Towncar. If your moonroof is factory, you will have an incomplete vehicle VIN designation beginning with "2MHH". That is NOT a factory sunroof in this car but may have been installed by the dealer before the car was sold.

They are selling the car on the lot for 18k and change.....the aftermarket wheels they are refering to is if you wanted 20's or 22's put on them. and they dont know if it is an after market roof...which we all know it is....I just got curious...so I called...didnt sound too informed about the car itself

I had to work today so I couldn't go look at it. But if they say 18K over the phone, I will print the autotrader ad out and bring it with me this weekend.
