Does the 2003 MM have a windshield antenna or not? Somewhere along the way I thought I read, maybe in a Radar detector thread, that the radio antenna was in the windshield. I was thinking the dot matrix field infront of the review mirror was the antenna.
And if not in the windshield where is the antenna. I must say here that the MM antenna, where ever it is, is WAY better than my Taurus or E350 whip antennas.

The antenna is in the rear window, not the W/S.

The antenna is in the rear window, above and below the horizontal defrosting lines.

Thank you for that. What is the "other thing" in that location. I noticed, what you tell me is, the antenna interface while messing with the spare tire. Is there not "something" else in that general area? Maybe the pump for the air shocks???

No, pump for the air bags is under the air filter box under the hood.

Thanks for that answer...but...I was refering to the rear wheel "air shocks" that do the auto leveling and all that. Sorry for the mix-up.
As I recall there there were two things in the trunk that made me wonder...the antenna box {{which is pretty stout. reminds me of the cellphone I installed in a customers home security system once...it was just a box; no handset or dial pad and all that, unique application}}. The MM antenna box attaches to the "thing" I am referring to.

There are no airshocks. You have 2 rear airsprings which are your load-leveling rear air suspension, used with nitrogen gas-pressurized shock absorbers. Like said above, the compressor for the airsprings is below the airbox.

Are you looking at the subwoofer system? Its mounted under the rear package tray to the left of the spare tire.

what does the radio interface box in the trunk do?
