Guys, just being paranoid. I have a Meziere (I believe it is the WP346) that was bought from Dennis in 7/05 and _finally_ just installed a couple of months ago.
It has a dark anodized pulley. I checked out their web site and they are showing a pic of one that they say is clear anodized that looks like bright billet aluminium. They mention a chrome option for this model but I don't think the pic is of a chromed WP.
I read somewhere that they changed something on this model in the past couple of years?
Thanks for any info on why the change and any problems I should be looking for if I you think I have the "old" model.

Only problem I have had was mine started to leak. Out of warranty so I just bought a new one same part number MEZ-WP346.

The dark pulley is the newer version. The older version just had a natural aluminum pulley.

Yep, I have sold them for years and only had one fail, and it was because of an assembly issue (pulley came off) that was a one time thing.

Thanks a lot guys! I bought the optional wiring kit from Meziere directly out here in Ca, but my guy ended up using only part of it I think. Anyway, it has what appears to be a relay and an in-line 20A fuse, but then ties into the battery for power.
The install kit said to use Pin 9 in the harness, but that was already been used by something (I believe the Viper alarm maybe?)
Bottom line is it seems to work very well and at 55 GPM keeps the car very cool.
I have heard of both the Bulldog and one called "Waterpump Watchdog", and need to explore my options there. I would like to have something audible to let me know if it stops working. The LED is a good idea, but I tend to blank out the lights after a while, and would pay just as much attention to an LED as I would to the dash indicator.
Thanks as always for the good info.

Are the Meziere's supposed to add some hp/tq? If so, why is that?

I put one in my Marauder on 8-21-04 with 7356 miles on the car at the time. Now the car has 24000 miles on it and never had a problem with the pump. I noticed that my marauder run's a Little cooler since I had it installed.

Reduces parasitic drag on the crank since it don't have to turn the water pump anymore. 10 or 15 HP IIRC.

Did you purchase yours from DR?

how much parasitic lose is found now to its electrical motor that now makes the alternator work harder...
what if u have an under drive pulley. That would make gains freed up by the water pump even less. although there is gains from the under drive pulley set alone.

I imagine if you have UD's and a Meziere, I wonder if one of them cancel's each other out? I mean, since UD's are supposed to give less wear and tear, wouldn't that make the pump turn slower?
