I think I need my front bumper guard repaint. For those who had to go through it what has it costed you? I might do this as soon as next week and just want a few price checks. For the complete service. Thanks.
I received a quote from my dealer in orlando for approx $600 two weeks ago. Just for removal and repaint of front bumper. I asked for estimate because I was planning on having an invisible car bra installed (cost $495), and thought maybe I should repaint first. My car has 70K on it and its share of bug damage.
I decided not to repaint - couldn't afford both paint and bra, and bra is a must have because of the bugs in Florida. I used an orbital polisher and rubbing compound to clean up and smooth the nose after also removing the front license plate bracket. I purchased touch up paint from the dealer and dabbed it on all damage points to give them the correct color. Let it dry 10 hours, then used the polisher and rubbing compound again. The touch up paint spots were flat (no clear coat) and ugly. The clear bra made it virtually disappear, car looks like the nose has been repainted. The bra acts like a layer of clear coat over the touch up paint.
It would have been better to wet sand the touch up to make it perfectly flat. From the right angle you can see that it is there, but overall it looks great. Of course, if you have the cash, repaint, then install the bra.

Thanks. I just got a price check for $425 and $200 to fix my dent on my rear bumper cover. Seems like a good price so far.

Someone bashed it in after he yelled at them with the PA system or blasted them with the horns.

I was coming out of an alley, made a right hand turn and clipped a parked car.
