From LVMARAUDER.
To Dennis Reinhart, of Orange Park Florida.
Response toe Dennis Reinhart Quotes in Regards to CF FAKE replica Covers:
People not interested include the following:
Killjoy – Posts 2,560
Master- 37 Posts
Suzuki10179- Lame not for me
RR|suki – Wow that a lot of $$$ though isn’t it?
LV-Yes it is, for 50 bucks you can get the same tape on Ebay.
Cobra- 25 - It does Look nice Dennis, I for one don't hold a interest in it ,but thanks for thinking of it..
Fordnut-Looks good. Since I got one of the original CF ones I won't need one, but it looks like it would be easy to get other underhood parts painted to match. Things like the fuse box cover, vacuum canister, throttle cable cover, etc.
LV- Easy to get under hood parts painted to match- evidence to support my claim of you making unneeded charges for your profit.
Cyclopsram…. is a common term of vacuum... However I would just take the stock cover and paint it gloss black for the same effect...and get a new sticker from my local Ford dealer...total invested about $10 bux...
LV-Yet more common sense support for my claim.
Skilz 17109-For $700 I could have a c/f hood made..
Function > Form
LVMARAUDER- Mr. Reinhart, you most unrespectfully and with full business interest to yourself deleted the majority of my post. You have lost all respect with me and inedeed, as time will tell, lost much respect with the Marauder community. I DID NOT modify my post to say I am a marauder Owner I said you were full of S*H^*I)T for Selling this worthless part to Marauder owners. LET ME SAY THIS DELETE THIS AS MUCH AS YOU WANT I WILL DAILY POST IT UNDER A DIFFERENT NAME. TEST ME, I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU.
On to my opinion , there have been several marauder owners who have called you out on your bull. I am not alone. And you have your answer sir. Stop trying to rape the Marauder community of funds that could go to making the car faster. If you think my words are BIASED you are damned right, I have never thought you as an honest salesmen as so many of your henchmen profess but as a SNAKE OIL DOCTOR. I, LVMARAUDER WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM YOU AGAIN. And I hope other Members will follow suit when they recognize your truly selfish ENDEAVOR.
Micheal Ward- Posts 233, $375.00 to paint a plastic cover no thank you but thanks for asking .
Lvmaruader- Ridiculous as I support, same cane be accomplished on Ebay.
Mike Poore,-
LVMarauder- You sir, are a henchmen, A pawn used by Mr. Reinhart to further his cause, feel proud sir.
I find this sort of post to be offensive. There's a difference between "trying to sell ****" and offering up something a vendor sees as worthy of a look. I note that Dennis reported the unit as painted, for want of a better word, but it's obviously an applied finish not unlike powder coating of various engine parts, or laser applied graphics, which neither make our cars go faster nor reduce weight. It's bling, pure and simple, and, in my opinion, in this case, looks very nice.
Reinhart found these, went to the trouble to post the photos, and offered to get them, if there is enough interest. The notion that he's trying to sell **** is quite a leap, and, frankly, IMHO, out of line.
:LVMARUDER- NO sir, it is the truth and it offends you.
We drive very special cars, these MM's, and many choose ways to individualize them, for better or worse; it's in the eye of the beholder. One thing we don't do here, is point fingers and flame one another over our choices.
LVMARUDER- But One Thing I will do, Sir, is Stand up and defend us Average Marauder owners by protesting this bull.
Either you like Dennis' offering and want one, or you don't, let's keep it civil.
:LVMARUDER- CIVIL LEFT WHEN HE COWARDLY DELETED MY POST. I guess all southerners will use any advantage to defeat us “California Liberals” even those who are Staunch Conservatives From Nevada, I.E. Me.
LVMARAUDERS Reply:
MaginDat, You sir, are EVEN LESS A CREDIBLE SOURCE OF INFORMATION.
I Quote:
apparently not. Reinhart Performance Engineering is just that, a performance shop. One, as a friend and enthusiast Dennis went to the trouble of sourcing something he found attractive and thought we might also. Two, a performance shop is in no way shape or form obligated to offer 'bling', dude is doing the membership and owners a favor. Three, you think his time is FREE? I give him at least 3 hours at 125 bucks and hour out of time he could have spent hopping up cars and taking in the money. Nope, he spent it on US! Last, but certainly not least, Dennis is ONE OF US who happens to have more access to resources, vendors, etc. He's kind enough to continually offer cool stuff at a good price and I promise you, the profit is just enough to keep the lights on and grandkids fed.
So, Mr. '2 Percenter'. Maybe you should spend some time at the 'grass roots' level, where we share our ideas and help each other out.
It seems recently you like to whine and bag on people and ideas. I, for one, don't love it. Say what you will about me, since now you feel personally attacked. My skin is thick and I need no flame suit, cuz those who know me know what I'm about. Calm down and grow up dude.
As for the CF look trim. Not so much for me. (due to price) Lou's looks freakin' great. I even did some looking myslef after I saw Lou's at SSM picnic. I couldn't find it. Dennis, thanx for spending the time and effort.
MaginDat- From LVMARAUDER- YOU SIR ARE AN IDIOT. I mean that in the full sense and effect of the word. First, You have been played by Dennis like a fiddle. He offers “Bling” to incrase his bottom line with out increasing out quarter mile time. How do you like that sir? If you give him 3 hours at 125, well that your own damn fault, not mine.
Finally DENNIS IS NOT ONE OF US. 1st in my support of this argument is that he DELETED MY POT THAT OPOSED HIM, SOLEY BECAUSE HE HAS ADMIN RIGHTS ON THIS WEBSITE. I WITHOUT A DOUBT KNOW HE WILL DELEE THIS THREAD BUT I WILL REPOT DAILY, NAY, HOURLY , Until THE ENTIRE MARAUDER COMMUNITY HAS HEAD THE TRUTH. Your Reign or Terror sir, IS OVER. If by grass roots level you mean I should Be in is employment and personal expene then NO SIR, you are wrong, try and buy me, I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU.
I also double dog dare you NOT TO REPLY , because with your thick skin you wont reply…. I highly Doubt it… see you many times in the posts to follow.
I ONCE AGAIN REMAND MY VOW TO POST THIS AS MANY TIMES AS POSSIBLE,
Dennis Reinhart -
Yes its pricey and every vendor here has to make a profit but not gouge the club, I try and be as fair as I can, and if there is no interest in this so be it, and I will delete the post.
Rider90- Ah maybe it was Dennis then, seeing as he edited LVMarauder's post...
Mysterious then if no body did it
Bradley G- If my memory serves me correct, the real CF ones were less than half of the price quoted for painted.
I recall Big slim got his (damaged)after a lenghty wait.
No interest here, but they do look nice.

Not surprising.
Also, it won't be surprising to see the following three things happen:
1) No legitimate response
2) The thread will be deleted
3) The original poster will be quickly banned.
*sigh*
We've all been ripped off be Dennis Reinhart at one time or another. Myself included. Some of us are smart enough to take our business elsewhere. I just choose to ignore Dennis.
Caveat Emptor, my friends.
Edit: A 4th thing will probably happen: I'm sure I'll be banned before too long so stating the foregoing opinion. Oh well...

Well, that's a post from member that may have held back, a bit too long.
While I may not be first in line to order one, If someone wants to part with thier hard earned money to buy one, far be it from me to say otherwise.
Let's face it, there are gobs of mods, that don't give more GO-Go.
The real crime is, mods offered as Go Go +++ that don't .
And, of course deleting posts, that get in your way.

So I am sure many of the members here have seen the unprovoked slanderous post against my name over this carbon fiber thread, I called the owner of Hydro Illusions, LLC, there located at
2894 47th Ave. N.
St. Petersburg, FL 33714
Office: (727) 526-2336
Fax: (727) 521-1528
email: info@hydroillusions.com (info@hydroillusions.com)
The engine cover cost me 45.00 plus shipping from Ford I then had to ship it to hydro illusions, they charged me 278.00 for this process, and sent it back after all the shipping I would make a whopping 50.00. So for any one to say I price gouged, misled or attempted to do some thing shady, they are simply wrong and have been prompted to do so.
This is why I locked the thread its in my forum, I felt there was not enough interest in this I was doing what I felt was best for the club, if any one has a problem or a question about any thing I sell, all they have to do is call me, I will put you immediately in touch with the manufacturer.
Tom is the owner of Hydro solutions I spoke to him at 9 AM any one here can call him. I encourage you to do so, so you are fully satisfied with what is being stated here. If I called any vendor here or any member here a fraud and a liar I would be banned immediately.
What ever the owners decide is there call I have removed my self form any decisions concerning this matter.

Business is business, you don't like it go away. A "few" of you guys have nothing better to do than manipulate issues to continue to stir up things for the sake of the pleasure of the"few" Reinhart haters...Guess things have been boring for you. Go over to the other site and rant there... It does not belong here. Dennis, you did nothing wrong here.

Why don't you call Hydro Solutions and see for yourself on the costs. Nothing to hide here..If it is too expensive, don't buy it. At least it was offered and not at a ground breaking profit.

4.10 gearset
170 degree thermostat
Denso plugs
Plug in tune (Marauder)

Maybe I was lucky? I dunno- I'd buy from him again if I saw something I wanted. No question about it.

His opinion is fine.... Everyone has one. But to mouth off and create a thread that disrepects anyone is wrong. Dennis has a business as I do. If you don't want to do business with a person that is your choice. It could have been handled with PM's or a phone call to get it straightened out. Doing some research/investigating as well as making a few phone calls would have shown clearly that there was no fraud or lies what-so-ever.
It is just another reason and some peoples agenda to create problems here. I personally am sick of them.....but that is my opinion. Take it somewhere else.
That's the neat thing about free enterprise. If you don't like a product, or think the price is too high, you don't have to buy it. Pretty simple concept, really.
Here's a suggestion for you, LVMarauder. First, grow up. Second, quit whining. That gets you nowhere. And third, get real. If you think a $50 profit on DR's part is unreasonable, go out and get a business license and a tax number. Rent a facility and set up shop. Hire employees. Pay payroll taxes, workmen's comp taxes, and all the other duties imposed upon you by our various governments. Then once you've got all that established, find a vendor that you want to do business with, set up an account with them, make all the arrangements for shipping, warranty, etc. Make sure that they make a quality product that meets your standards. And then promote that product. If you're lucky, you might sell one a day or maybe only one a week. Do all that work, and make $50 profit per unit. I'll tell you one thing, you won't retire rich.
Now quit being a crybaby and get on with your life. Good Lord, man, it's only a piece of a car. You act like you lost a leg or something.

Take another look at my comment. It was not demeaning or insulting. I did not attack Dennis. I simply voiced my opinion. Why are you jumping on me? Surely it is not because of my Trilogy Supercharger choice, so what gives?

Your logic is flawed, his interest is not in working anything out with Reinhart, his point is to inform the Marauder comunity of what he believes to be the pedling of worthless products, and cutting into other people's attempts to provide products for this comunity. Seems to me his "agenda" is to voice his opinion on things he found rediculous, not sure how PMs would help since he was trying to address everyone. If you look at it in an objective light, this is quite clear.

No, I have no problem with anyones opinion and I am not the henchman here. Honestly, I am really tired of flamming posts overall. And I did not find your posts demeaning or insulting. I tend to look at things differently, investigate things before making a slanderous remark like this one.
I have been accused by a friend of yours on a S/C issue, which were total lies and would like to confront the liars directly. But they won't come forward, nor will the person accusing me tell me who they are.

Your logic is flawedI believe it is YOUR logic which is flawed, here. MarauderTJA is absolutely right. If LVMarauder had stated in a calm and polite post that he felt the item being offered by Dennis was not a good deal, and stated his reasons for his opinion, there would have been no issue at all. Instead, he chose to write a rambling, at times incoherent, rant that used slanderous words like "coward" and "fraud" then proceeded to spam almost every forum on the site with it, including, for some unfathomable reason, the FIT forum. This is unacceptable behaviour by ANY member against ANY vendor.

LOL you're an idiot anyway, so I'll help you out. He did voice his opinion quitely, I was sitting here and saw his initial posts in the thread about the covers, and they kept getting deleted, over and over again. This got him heated, and leads to this thread, which is prob why he posted it at 4 in the morning so that it might survive for someone to see it. So sod off, and look up slander in the dictionary, all the kid did was copy and post what happened to him.

I'll take this a line at a time.
You may think what you wish about the credibility of my information. That's the nature of a PUBLIC forum. I take no offense whatsoever to that notion. For example: there have been many threads with folks describing problems with their MM. I often post my experiences in attempt to help. Sometimes I'm right on target, sometimes I'm wrong. At least I OFFER SOMETHING CONTRUCTIVE.
In this context, post count is your credential. Well, let me lay a few credentials on ya. Bachelor of Science Liberal Arts, Masters Computer Information Technology, Certified Lifeguard, CDL class C driver's license, BICSI certified Cable installer, MECP certification, Certified Pool Operator, Certified Professional Picture Framer, Certified Teledyne Laars Gas boiler Technician, Iam sure there's a dozen more I'm forgetting. The point is (and I double dog dare ya to take this out of context) SOMEONE at SOMETIME thought my info was, in fact, not only credible, but certifiable!
Next:
If you are going to call someone an IDIOT (an offense worthy of vacation time, here) then don't be such a ****y and preface it with SIR.
In regards to BLING: Have you SEEN my car?! I painted it MYSELF with a littel help and guidance from A FRIEND. Personally, I can't imagine a spoiled brat like you doing anything more skilled than signing mommy's check!
Hey STOOPID, 1/4 mile isn't everything. You forget about carshows? Highway comfort? Safety? Family? Oh, no you're to freakin immature and selfish to think about anything but YOURSELF!!! Perhaps you should take a moment to understand that there are people and even more important MM owners who are interested in more than 1/4 mile. Most didn't buy the car for that reason at all.
I have not been played at all. I have given Dennis plenty of my money and have never been disappointed with the pordusts, work, or ongoing support. I have had the privilege of becoming friends with Dennis. I have had the privilege of working in his shop and hanging with his family. I have made the 4hr drive to his place to do work FOR HIM! I do this stuff for fun. He does it to feed his grandkids. I get it. You clearly don't.
My point regarding the 3 hrs @ $125 is to say that time he does not spend in his shop making his shop rate comes off his bottom line. This is a business principle and has nothing to do with friendship. So, you have now made it abundantly clear that you understand little to nothing about business.
Grass roots, young'un (yes, that's Southern) is an older term meaning without sponsorship. It is a state of mind. You'll never understand it. We are not in one another's employ. We are friends.
I went to Jacksonville to install Dennis's new radio. I did it for nothing. Dennis put me up in his home and fed me. It was a great excuse to hang out with some very cool people and have a good car time. If Dennis is guilty of anything, it's of becoming friends with his customers. He actually FEELS BAD for making 'too much'. But yet I still see him in his office struggling to pay the bills.
People are just that, people. Some will get along. Some won't. SOme will understand. Some won't. Clearly, you don't understand.
So, we've established you know nothing of:
Credibility
Credentials
Customizing cars
People
Friendship
Business
Grass roots
Family
and you suck at name calling.
Guess that make YOU the IDIOT!
I don't think he'll delete the thread. I hope he doesn't. In the end, you'll appear as the idiot.

I think enough people have experienced enough real and very substantial problems working with DR that the premise behind this one is really very thin.
I haven't had issues with him outside of him being somewhat perfunctory but some of the things I read from (whom I consider) credible sources give me pause.
This faux-carbon fiber thing? It's was a simple shoulder-shrugging 'no thanks' for me and I moved on.

I have a couple of problems with this thread. First, my login and post numbers were used to create some sort of misguided database of people who allegedly had a problem with the CF component. well, I don't have a problem with it. I simply have no interest.
Secondly, regardless of what point anyone is trying to make, civility should be the number one priority. As well, opinions should not be stated as fact. I think that locking this thread out now would be fine with me as it is far from productive.
BTW: I base opinions about vendors on personal experience and not those of others. I've gotten excellent service from Dennis and the rest of the gang. Some products I like, others I don't. Big deal. That's life and business altogether. Lets get on with more productive activities.

Hi Dennis,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
<o:p> </o:p>
It was nice talking to you this morning. I would just like clarify a few points about my process. The process of water transfer printing is essentially custom painting. There is time involved with the prepping of the part, priming the part, laying a base coat down, applying the ink transfer, clear coating, and finally, polishing. The process is time consuming and detail oriented; however, I think you’ll find the end product to look just as real, if not better than a part that was made out of carbon fiber. If you considered making your part out of real carbon fiber, the price doesn’t compare when you look at the cost of tooling the part, the cost of the carbon fiber, then laying the carbon fiber just right, as to make the continuity of it appealing to the eye. In this comparison, I think you’ll find you get a nicer looking product with no question about fitment for a very reasonable price. Remember that this coating can be applied to many different parts of the car including interior parts such as dashes, steering wheels, center consoles. Also, the coating is as durable as the paint on your car. My lead time is 2 weeks.<o:p></o:p>

After being called an idiot, I was incensed.
I prolly should have considered the source and let it go.
The problem with this thread's initial post besides the obvious name calling and inflamatory comments is that it serves to drive a wedge between those that have already established relationships.
So, LV, slander and defame all you want. You are making a fool of yourself. I hope when you calm down, you're embarrassed and think better of what you've started here.

I'm sorry if someone dosen't like the price of something being offered. But I see this problem at the grocery store, gas station, etc.... You yourself have the responsibility to decide if you are willing to pat the price for something you want or walk away. Unless Dennis holds a gun to your head and steals your wallet you can just walk away. There are alot of things for sale on this site I would love to have but am unwilling to part with good money to pay for. That does not make the people selling the merchadise liars or frauds. That only happens if the product is marketed with a claim that can not be validated.

So then why do people dislike him? Seriously, I'm just asking here...If there is more than one person that dislikes him, there has to be a reason, right? So rather than saying he is great and all that, why doesn't someone chime in a negative experience and then the people that praise Dennis, can explain?
My point...
If someone dislikes him or the way he conducts business, speak up! include dates and actual events and not "Opinions." Why? Because the thread is still going and maybe we can sort this out now and that will be the end of it.
I praise the admins for letting this thread continue on, so okay we've gotten some bashing across, now lets get down to business and put the cards on the table and skip the B.S. :shake:

Your logic is flawed, his interest is not in working anything out with Reinhart, his point is to inform the Marauder comunity of what he believes to be the pedling of worthless products, and cutting into other people's attempts to provide products for this comunity. Seems to me his "agenda" is to voice his opinion on things he found rediculous, not sure how PMs would help since he was trying to address everyone. If you look at it in an objective light, this is quite clear.
Jeez, I hope you never practice law! There's a world of difference between "offering an opinion" and making slanderous and libelous charges. Whether a product that was clearly advertised as being cosmetic in nature is "worthless" or not is in the eye of the purchaser, after all. Accusing someone of fraud, slandering them and their name and business in public... that goes waaaaaaay beyond an opinion, those are accusations that had better be backed up with facts... so unless your logic is flawed and LV can produce the receipts and books of Mr Reinhart's business, showing that he has committed "fraud", he's seriously on the wrong side of the line.

In law, defamation is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may harm the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government or nation. Most jurisdictions allow legal actions, civil and/or criminal, to deter various kinds of defamation and retaliate against criticism.
The common law origins of defamation lie in the torts of slander (harmful statement in a transitory form, especially speech) and libel (harmful statement in a fixed medium, especially writing but also a picture, sign, or electronic broadcast), each of which gives a common law right of action.
"Defamation" is the general term used internationally, and is used in this article where it is not necessary to distinguish between "slander" and "libel". Libel and slander both require publication. The fundamental distinction between libel and slander lies solely in the form in which the defamatory matter is published. If the offending material is published in some fleeting form, as by spoken words or sounds, sign language, gestures and the like, then this is slander. If it is published in more durable form, for example in written words, film, compact disc and the like, then it is considered libel.

This thread was posted with a ton of emotion behind it...
I understand LV's feelings about the subject and I do agree that the CF cover is pretty lame, but I think it was wrong to attack DR's business proposal in that way. I would like to think that LV has had many other issues building up inside of him and that this was the straw that broke the camel's back.
I went through a situation like that with BillyGman a few years ago. I just exploded one day on the poor guy. Oh well. It was wrong of me and I should've gone about it a different way, but I didn't. We hashed it out and that was the end of it.
Some things for ALL of you to keep in mind:
#1 - Cut LV some slack, lots of people here have had outbursts in the past...
#2 - Dennis has done a lot for us, and it is appreciated.
#3 - Many people don't like Dennis' method of performing business...
#4 - Many people do like Dennis and his business.
I'm not backing either side... I have had issues with Dennis in the past, but I also like him as a person. I can also identify with LV.
Let's let them hash it out on the phone or PM's.

Wow, spend a day on the road and come back to see this...
I've got a couple of thoughts on this thread.
First, the original thread was locked because I sent Dennis a link to an old thread about the original CF radiator cover GP. From that thread he learned that he was mistaken on the price that Kelly paid for the cover he had. Kelly did spend over $700, as DR stated. But he got 3 of them, and they weren't the CF version they were just fiberglass because he wanted to paint them. The orignal GP price was $250 for the CF ones, about 2 years ago. The manufacturer lost money on them and it took a lot of aggravation to get them to finish the project. Some orders may not have ever been filled, refunds may have been issued. IF they were to make another run of the true CF ones, I would imagine the cost would be around $400.
As for the comments by LV, totally uncalled for. The title of the thread is slanderous and cowardly. Call somebody out over the internet? Complaining about somebody offering a product for sale that he doesn't see the need for? Who is he to decide for everybody else what is a "performance" mod. Some people think going fast, stopping quick, or high G cornering mean performance, others think getting a trophy in a car show is high performance. How many MM owners have powder coated valve covers and intake manifolds? And have never had their Marauder on a track? If you don't like it, don't buy it. If you think it's too expensive, try to find it elsewhere for less. A b*tch session like this can kill a product offering that others may be interested in. How about somebody who wants to send in all their dot-matrix interior panels for the fake carbon fiber treatment.
As for Dennis' business practices, some of the biggest complainers are not even the involved customer. If a customer has a problem with something Dennis has done, take it up with Dennis and he will do his best to make it right. I've seen it with other MM owners and experienced it myself. I've seen complaints voiced about pre-payment on a GP, but there are other GP offerings going on right now with other vendors, payments have been made and no products delivered. So why is it so terrible for Dennis to do it when it seems to be a standard, accepted practice?

However, on some occasions when you place the call to get some info or to clear up a issue, you sometimes get the run around or lied to. There are some people that have had flawless experiences and others that have stories. This isnt just coming from the Marauder community.
One brave sole (LV) went ahead and risked being banned to speak what some feel, Cut him some slack for that.
We have a lot of new members joining and if a business has a bad reputation of not doing right by a number of members, Wouldnt it be the right thing to do to let them know before they plunk down their hard earned cash and have a problem? Maybe if more info and stories were told it would improve business practices and relations on both sides.

Exactly.
DR put forward a product, that's all. In no way did he lie about what it was, either. If he had said "I've got this great carbon fiber component", then shipped you a steel one, now that would be a lie and fraudulent.
No one here gives a flying leap whether or not LV think's it's "lame", he came out and accused a company of commiting fraud. In effect, he lied about DR's business practices.
What he did was so far out in left field, it's flippin' spooky.

No, I do not own a Marauder but I still enjoy them. As for Dennis, I have had only have "minor" dealings with him. I purchased my SCT PRP from him as well as a tune for my Crown Vic. I have read this thread through repeatedly since its demonic conception...I present to you my dealings with Dennis Reinhart for your flaming or support...
RoadPig 1 developed serious transmission problems 4 months into her rebirth. DR was called, lengthy chat ensued with no screaming or threats from either side. " Get RoadPig to me any way you can so I can make this right", was his exact quote. With my bizarre and hectic schedule this didnt happen for approximately another 4 months...but DR and I kept in contact and we knew it would happen as soon as life for both of us settled down. RP1 did get to Orange Park and DR,Steve,Tigger and myself dissected the transmission. A new Level 2 tranny with only my original Stallion TQ where reinstalled. I got to drive the BlueBeast of the shop for my overnight in Jacksonville which was an honor in itself. Do you want to know what the ticket was on this ? Guess !
Give up ? ZERO...NADA...ZILCH...Sure, I spent money on a trailer, hotel and food...but hell, I would do that just to hang around there and be a spare set of hands...

Wow, the things that go on while I'm at work or don't get on for a few days.
As it has been said a million times already if you don't like something then you don't buy it. People have to remember the Marauder is a one of kind car and their ONLY A FEW companies that make or custom make stuff for our car so yes the price of stuff is going to be more that's just how businesses run.
I've purchased a few things from DR and have never had a problem and will continue to buy things until otherwise.

I can not say for sure but, I guess if posts are being deleted on a thread they are off topic. I have posted deleted when Logan ran the show. It is life on the internet.

Ouote from LV;
"My problem is that I actively try to beat the time difference but never can, and when I offer up to DOUBLE the asking price of items I am turned down. Does that make much sense to anyone? It doesnt to me."
It is called integrity and it makes sense to me.
All have been good. Many of the big ticket items on my car were bought from DR Automotive. Dennis personnally expedited shipment of a major piece that was hung up in red tape.
I have purchased products from other vendors on this site and can testify to their excellent service and products.
I met Dennis at MV4 and, although he wouldn't remember me, he is a gregarious personality, helping the other racers in the staging area with technical tips, driving tips and generally being a man of service. Never saw him frown, just happy to be around what he considers his automotive family.
The assertion that he is a coward and fraud is out of character for him.
As with any personality there are several facets. Another member posted that he thought DR was "perfunctory". Over the phone he is, but it's like his time is limited so he doesn't mince words.
I will continue to buy products from DR Automotive, and if he was closer to me I would avail my car to his services.

21 yrs old. What do expect??? I wish that I could have eaten some of the words I said when that age. I have seen the carbon fiber painted ones, and no compairison to just black. Some people will pay extra for a billet batt.case, or a dip stick.. It's their perogative. Why critisize what people like??

What is this in referance to? What is LV trying to beat the price on? Why is willing to pay double? For what? I do not understand the quote.

That was from the thread that LVM claimed using the Classified Section wasn't fair because he lives in the Pacific Time Zone, 3 hours after Eastern Time and misses out on all the great classified deals, even though he offers double the price on items already sold.

I've seen alot of improvement over the past Year with Dennis Reinharts Business. And I respect that alot. Personal attack's are not welcome here of any kind. Let's keep it simple, If Vendor sells a product and you don't like it or the price don't buy it. I've bought many Items from Dennis over time and will continue to do so, if I want something he is selling.

I seriously think that a "War Zone" forum should be added to this site (like SVTP has). Any big controversy can just be done in that particular forum... any threads that go a-stray can be moved there by admin. There are tons of problems between guys over there, but most wouldn't know it because it is pretty much all contained to the War Zone.
What do y'all think?

We had that, It was called the Darkside.
the Dark side was not that
the Darkside completely replaced mm.net, and was Logan's attempt to show certain people why his moderating was necessity.
Unfortunately the ones it was targeted for, didn't get it, and still don't.
Most of them by the way have moved to another place, and now laughingly refer to ,net as the dark side.
SVT forums marauder forum has some interesting posts, since people went there after the Darkside, and after ,net was sold.
Some very enlightening stuff is there to read, at least until someone deltes it.
So, a 'Rant' or similar forum might work here, I've it used successfully on other boards.

Serious note:
I refuse to take ANYONE seriously that delves into hateful rants, name-calling and other childish behaviour. If you calmly tell a coherent story with dates, times places, witnesses, or can show me the evidence and provide me with contact numbers to verify your story in person then I will take you seriously. Compose yourself and your sentences slowly and carefully and edit out all the emotional adjectives. Otherwise you are just wasting my time and showing your lack of self control and your azz in public.

I'm tellin ya... War Zone, Rant, whatever you want to call it... this site should have one. Personality conflicts have been tearing through this site for years. What could it hurt to try it out for a month or so?
Lay down some ground rules and "sticky" it on the top of the new category. Make it a members-only category and post a warning on it before allowing people in to view it. Make it the ONE place on the site that isn't 'family oriented'.
Utopia isn't possible, people... a place to get out your frustrations is necessary.

I have read this thread through repeatedly since its demonic conception...I present to you my dealings with Dennis Reinhart for your flaming or support...
My car was in Dennis' shop at the same time yours was but unfortunately my experience with Reinhart has been the complete opposite. Well, I shouldn't say that, not completely.
When I first started putting some pep into the Crown Vic I ordered the basic bolt-ons from Dennis (the marauder airbox, steeda underdrives, t-stat/plugs, and xcal2) and later when I changed gears to 3.73 he emailed me a corrective tune the same day I called. Later got a proguard panel, no problems. My Vic was running 14.7 and I was happy as could be.
The idea came up to go a bit further and supercharge the car. After finding a great deal on a crate Marauder engine I contacted Dennis and he said he had done these conversions before and could set me up. We were going to have a complete transformation of the car and do a detailed writeup on the website here as a project. Everything was set, I was to drop the car off with him and rent a car until mine was done
Before dropping the car off several people tried to warn me about Dennis. Since I had excellent service from him previously I just took what they were saying as just bad blood. Little did I know then that what they were telling me and what I had read online on another site would come true during the next months. It was like watching an accident unfold in slow motion while holding a script to it in your hands.
At the end of things I got my car back and it was unfinished and was barely driveable. I won't go into all the faults but basically it wasn't tuned, there were clearance issues, electrical problems, and other things that ended up costing me out of my pocket close to $1500, and thats after paying him over $15,000 (prepaid) to do the job. I did contact Dennis but it was like talking to someone with amnesia, just utter frustration and anger, especially after he asked me to pay for a replacement oil line that was rubbing against the p/s pulley and was damaged and when doing some of the corrective work on the car I found some issues that make me believe some of the parts put on my car were previously used or not really replaced at all. I gave up on him after that and I do not recommend him as a vendor to anyone and will personally not do business with him again.
I don't have a vendetta against him, been rather quiet about the whole affair actually, call it embarrassment, call it denial. I just see all these posts about great service and such and that has not been my experience. I know he has alot of happy customers but unfortunately I am not one of them, truly I wish that I were.

I'm really not trying to start anything, however Art Carr is a pretty good size company and the 4r70 has been around for a while. They really did not have a tranny pan or rebuild kit for it until the Marauder came out? Or are you saying those are Marauder specific? If so what makes the Marauder 4r70 so different from any other Ford 4r70?
