I need some bumper cover work done on my front and rear. Rather than giving my car to the body shop for a few days I may ask them to just pop off the guards and do the work while I drive the Marauder around for a few days. I believe it's still legal as long as I put the front license plate in the windshild for the time being. So do these simply come off or does it take hours to do? If it takes hours I'll get there early, if not (which I'm assuming) I'll give them 20 minutes to do it. It'll look weird, but I don't care I wanna drive this thing and I missed it all winter.
The rear has to come off to fix a small dent and I don't think they will charge me any more labor since this must be done anyway. I'm getting sick of drivng my moms trendy azz navigator. That thing is slow, trendy and the rev limiter kicks in a 2,700 RPM. I want out of this thing... even if the Marauder is incomplete. My Blazer is still sitting, I'm sick of it giving me problems every other week. I'll fix that thing later.

Can't say for Il. in New Jersey is a ticket about to happen. Check with local LEO first.

I know here in Texas you have to have the plate affixed to the vehicle and you can get a tiket for having it in the windsheild.

Good idea I know who to call. Back to the question though, can these simply come off?

Detailed instructions are in the manuals.. However there are some fasteners inside the trunk forward on each side... Can't tell ya about the fronts as the fog lites and other stuff may cause problems... I would have one of the mobile fixers come to you and fixem.... You see them all the time in dealers used lots fixing up the scuffs and bangs on the trade ins to make them :flawless"..... I was quoted $150 one time to repair a tear in my rear cover on a 99 Cro Vic and paint to match... RAM

You mean like this? I went in dropped off the bumper cover, drove it for a week and went back and had the finished cover put back on. Didn't get any over spray or dings like other have got.

So did it pop off easy? Seems like I'm not the only one who has thought of this. :D

It was about 15 bolts, on the outside and in the trunk, 15-20 minutes.
