Got my notice for emissions for it's 1st time. Has anyone gone through it with a xcal2 tune installed? Did you reload the oem tune or leave the xcal2 in it? I don't have any check engine lights so the tune is the only thing I am concerned with.

It should pass as long as the car has been through about ten "run Cycles". Mine passes in NY with flying colors with my tune installed, it shouldnt be too much of a difference between the states...

I took the Crown Rauder in for testing this past December and it passed with flying colors. They just tested the gas cap and pulled it forward to the computer and scanned for codes. The guy gave me props on the car and gave me my paperwork... good for two more years!!!

Their computer can't detect what programming you have in the car, just for fault codes, including the P1000 code that stays until the monitors reset after a flash/reset of the computer.

You'll be ok... go pay your 14 bucks!

I hear there is talk of making the standards tougher. MD wants to be like NY and CA when it comes to the emissions standards. If that happens, look out.

NY is tough. Check engine light on = Failure
1996 an up the just plug you vehicle into a computer. The computer knows what vehicle it is testing.
Still use the dyno vehicles 1995 and down.
Antique vehicles over 20 yrs (I believe) are safety only.

Does their VEIP computer detect if the rear O2 sensors have been turn off? Mine are still installed but per the tune they are turn off, does that make any difference?
