OK, in the past twelve months, here's a summary of what's been going on in my world:
1. Blew engine number one when a spark plug ejected out of its hole at 80K.
2. Got rear ended by an uninsured driver (thankfully, no injuries).
3. Got rear ended by an uninsured driver (thankfully, no injuries). No, I'm not repeating myself, this happened twice in about 6 months.
4. Blew engine number two with 20K on it (see recent threads).

I'm not trying to start a bad luck contest, but doesn't this about take the cake?
I'm not going to ask "What could possibly happen next?", because I'm afraid I'll find out!

Sorry to hear about all of the bad luck. I can tell that you understand that your health and safety were/ are much more important and are thankful to be OK.

I do have a question. What is the deal with your engines? I mean, can you give more details why the engines couldn't be rebuilt?

20k miles on motor number two seems too new to need replacing even if it over heated.

As you can tell I do not have much experience with ruined motors but why can they not be repaired BETTER than OEM (more durable) by an expert?

A number of members here had to replace motors on their Marauders while having little or no mods done to them.

My suggestion is to play the lottery, your luck HAS to change sooner or later.

Well, I guess technically I could have had the engine torn apart and rebuilt. Don't know how long that would have taken, or what it would have cost, or how good the finished product would have been compared to a factory rebuild. Not that a factory rebuild is worth a ****z, mind you.

Ross I will not get in a "bad luck" contest with you because I would win(trust me)..Any way maybe I should drive my marauder down to Texas and see if I can transfer any "luck" from my car to yours.

I'll see if the "god of speed" will send you good fortune:up:

Speaking from exp "Bad Luck" happens in clusters.

Ejected out is redundant and may have some link to the repeatablility of said incident....after two rear enders, I would have put the tail and directionals in the rear window..in my Marauder as I do in all my crown vics...could it be because of the blackout provision in Marauder TL ?

Ross - If it wasn't for bad luck you would have no luck at all.

Seriously I hope your problems are over.

I feel your pain man, I have often wondered if this car is possessed. I guess when you look that badass, trouble follows you around. The car that is.

How about putting two front light in the rear to fool badluck like those farmers from India fool tigers with a mask facing backwards ?

And the public will respect Marauders even more if they see you "backing" the highway at a hundred something MPH ! :)

Well, maybe I can drown some sorrows this Saturday. Putting on my kilt and marching in the St. Patrick's Day parade, then on to some pubs afterwards.

Sell it and buy a Japanese car. And then start a thread telling everyone that you sold your Marauder and bought a Japanese car.

Of all of the things I have NEVER done, and don't plan on doing, it's buying a foreign car!
Of course, if someone wanted to give me a Ferrari, I could consider it.

I was just joking about the Japanese car thing because of a thread started 2 or 3 weeks ago about a MM owner that was having problems and sold his for a Acura.

My Ford Store is changing them out on WARRANTY... I am so blessed. I still want to buy your cooling mod. But if you don't want too sell it to me ... to punish me it's OK. I'M OVER IT. Incidentaly the pictures of Marauderville IV are on the way & will be at your shop on Thursday... I keep my promises. My best Regards Ken Metsala... AKA Kennyrauder

You know, I could probably use a trip to Houston this weekend. Which pubs are you hitting? I only spent 6 months there, but I do miss life in the Big City.
