how come there is nothing in my owners manual about my sunnroof? I am trying to figure out what the CSR (or something like that) button is for. All it does is turn red when I push it. The switch almost looks aftermarket to me.

'03 is aftermarket, as well as early '04. The only "factory" installed ones were in late '04

Did Ford have them installed or were they installed by the dealership. Or was this installed by the owner? Does anyone else have the CSR button?

and what is this "CSR" button you speak of?

I can take one later today. but if you look on this ebay page there is a picture of it but you can't really see the buttons.

I like the factory look of the 04s a little better.

I was just looking at some other forums. Looks like it is a ASC moonroof. And it's a ASC button not CSR. Still don't know what that little ASC button does.

It is definitely aftermarket. The upper console was long enough to handle 2 pockets for sunglasses. My 300B owner's manual came with instructions for much delayed moonroof assy. I will say this, the moonroof is installed elsewhere after the vehicle is assembled at the factory. In fact, the VIN states that it is an "incomplete vehicle" .

The ASC button locks the moonroof in the open position (vent/open) when you turn the car off. This is like the off/on button for your moonroof. Your ASC Moonroof is set to automatically close when the key is turned off. I have the same moonroof installed in my 03 Marauder and I really love it. I also bought a 04 DTR with a factory Moonroof and the ASC model is alot nicer.:)

I believe it is one that has aftermarket stuff added in like the moonroof on a MM or a natural gas setup on a CV.

COOL! thanks for giving me the answer I was looking for. I got worried since it turned red that it was calling the POLICE or something crazy. I will have to try it out.

I have an ASC in my 97 Cougar. I think that button stops the roof in it's place, open or partially open. It turns red when it is on and the roof will not close automatically when the car is shut off like it otherwise would.
